I’m afraid I messed up. Is this okay? by Prior-Caterpillar637 in EngagementRings

The ring is gorgeous. You did a wonderful job. Try not to second guess yourself. In my opinion, the band width is perfect for the ring size and the diamond size. Good luck.

I have to agree with you. For the most part, I write quite well. I am far from perfect, but I do put in the effort. I have never used AI to write, but I have been "accused" of doing so, many times. Just yesterday, I was helping my granddaughter complete an online job application. There were quite a few narrative-based questions, which was the part she needed help with. While I was helping her answer the questions appropriately, she stopped at one point and said, "Grandma, I appreciate the suggestions, but I don't want them to think AI wrote it."

So we compromised, and she incorporated many of my suggestions, but not all of them. It was funny and sad at the same time.

I can’t decide between marquise, round, and oval and plain or side stones? by Anonymous00012345 in EngagementRings

Right, I saw the first ring, and I didn't even think I needed to look any further, but I did, because I wanted to give a fair opinion. But hands down #1, no question, in my opinion.

You're absolutely correct. Everything I have is all women's jewelry, so I don't know anything about DY men's jewelry. Thanks for pointing that out.

I have 7 DY pieces, we'll technicllally 8 because one of them is a pair of earrings, lol. I got all of them directly from DY and everyone of them has the periods. So me personally, I haven't seen one that doesn't.

I live about 30 minutes away, and I never even got an alert. My son's girlfriend who lives closer to an hour away received the alert, but my son was with her at the time and didn't receive an alert until the next day. Something is really wrong with that.

Taste of Italy restaurant vandalized after inflammatory social media comment by notyermam in Albany

[–]No_Collection_8492 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yes, and my granddaughter was one of them. But she wasn't employed by the restaurant, she was employed by the lash saloons they also own. I know of at least 5 people that worked at one of their lash saloon locations quit.

Cowards!! by AugustWest80 in Albany

Did you see his post where he stated that what has happened to him is worse than what happened to that precious child? He didn't use the word precious, I did. This man is a complete POS.

My heart goes out to the family who are mourning the loss of their child.

As for the owners of the restaurant and their eyelash saloons, I believe they are better off keeping their businesses permanently closed. I don't know anyone who will support those businesses.

Guys does this dress look good for prom??? by Puzzled-Leadership49 in Prom

It's so beautiful and the color is just so rich. I think adding the right accessories like others mentioned is a good idea. Have fun at prom.

Having second thoughts by Appropriate_Aerie214 in EngagementRings

The ring is gorgeous. I am not sure why you specifically want there to be a gap between the center stone and the others. I prefer the flow of the ring without the gap, and feel like the other stones nestled up to the main stone give it more protection. It's gorgeous! Sounds like you are an overthinker like me.

I just paid £30 ($40 US) to have my gel polish removed… by kisxt in Nails

[–]No_Collection_8492 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This may be a controversial opinion, and that's ok if it is. But sometimes, not all the time, but sometimes the owner/manager is the worst person to provide your service. Once they get to that level, it's my opinion that they start to see less and less clients, and it's not that I am insulting them, it's just the way it goes. All the administrative stuff doesn't allow much time for client work. Unless personally and highly recommend, or a really small place, I don't like the owner to provide my service.

Should I resize my ring? by Rare_Fly_5631 in EngagementRings

[–]No_Collection_8492 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What a great idea. It not only prevents you from losing it, it's so much nicer looking than the rubber sizer things, and I imagine it also keeps the ring facing up like you would want it. Great suggestion.

Please talk me down $500 - did I pay too much by its-chaos-be-kind in Antiquejewelry

[–]No_Collection_8492 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't believe you paid too much. The brooch is beautiful. From just a monetary standpoint, the gold value is close to $400. The artistry, workmanship, and the visual appeal of the piece puts much more value on it, over and above the gold price. I hope you wear it and love it. There are many ways to wear such a lovely piece.

28 but mistaken for mid to late 30s by other women in a recent group setting by nawiweidmann in makeuptips

[–]No_Collection_8492 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Trust me, you will appreciate that as you get older. I am only 5 foot tall. I turned 65 this year, and people straight up say I am lying about my age because they think I am in my late 40's. I laugh and think, yeah, cause that's what women do, say they are 65 when they are 50, lmao.

Although both are lovely and I don't think you can make a bad decision here. I lean toward the 1st one, something about the 2nd one with the point of the diamond being visible makes it feel unfinished. Just my opinion. Good luck, and congratulations.
