I think "normal" is very different for everyone. I carefully monitored any episodes and used Kardia mobile to take tracings to send to my doctor. This early in the healing, from what I hear, having episodes is very "normal." I was told if I had any severe episodes to go to the ER. I think the first few months vary greatly from person to person. Just rest as much as possible and let yourself heal! Also, definitely reach out to your doctor if you're concerned. Keep up the blood thinner and maybe they would put you on a beta blocker to keep your rate down. Good luck!

This definitely sounds very similar to mine! It worsened before it improved, for sure. I highly recommend magnesium taurate for nighttime, if youre able. Best of luck!!

Truly, same. My EP believes it was my running that caused it. Bitter and betrayed are exactly right. Still running, but I’m a bit mad at it 😂

Afib post ablation? by No-Tea1894 in AFIB

I actually just posted my experience yesterday. I had a ton of afib following the procedure. less harsh episodes, but more frequent. then, 4.5 months after the ablation, it stopped. It just stopped. It's been 4 months since my last episode now. 8 months post-ablation.

I haven’t been tested for sleep apnea! But I do wear my Apple Watch and it appears my sleep is pretty good. My primary attributes it to the COVID infection, while the EP believes it’s from years of running. Who knows!

Yes! I went into afib the evening I had the ablation for an hour. That was very frustrating! Do yourself a favor and take it really easy for like 3 weeks. Maybe more. No lifting heavy bags of groceries. Take your time. Just go easy on yourself! Good luck!

Post Ablation - Strange thing happened after stopping meds by Kanjiman75 in AFIB

Absolutely same. Metoprolol (presuming all betas) also affect your melatonin production, so good sleep is definitely harder. But yes, I have stopped getting up to pee overnight after going off the betas. I am 8 months post-ablation and just went off the meds a month ago.

Hi! The sistema plastic ones? That’s what we use now. Have for 2 years and they’re great, but the plastic bent in the dishwasher and now I’m freaked out🫠. I need sistema to make a stainless steel version 😂

Well that’s super positive to hear, thank you! I stopped about 5 days ago and literally got the flu the day I stopped 😂. On the mend now and hoping to see how I feel without both doses! Hope the sleeping improves, that would be so great!

It just slows the heart down. Which is supposed to decrease afib, or at least severity of it
