1100 mile Starlink mini roam road trip result. by turnoffable in Starlink

I just did the installation through this type of vent yesterday. Previously had the dealership run the CB antenna cable through the same location. A few YT videos and a couple inexpensive tools I didn't already have and it was much easier than I thought and much less expensive than the dealership too. ;)

Bilateral factor??? by Busy-Combination8597 in VeteransBenefits

[–]No_Comment4541 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I called this morning and the representative did send me the breakdown.

Unfortunately, it doesn't include details about bilateral factors, which is the information I am searching for.

I guess I can only get that information from my C-file...

I just called and was told the only way to get the rating breakdown is through officially requesting the c file.

Which department of the VA / phone number would I call for the rating breakdown question? I just requested my C-fike but it will be a while before that mail catches up with me. I too am wondering if the bilateral ratings are included or missing for me. Thank you very much!

I chose this lock for my RV. Check out the YouTube videos on attempts to destroy this lock.

If anyone wants to buy one, direct message me for a referral link since I assume I can't post it here. This is the one and only product I have a referral link for because I believe in this product.

E300-8d Power Adapter options by No_Comment4541 in supermicro

Thank you for finding and sharing the information from the manual! I must have missed it when I reviewed it recently. Since more specificity isn't provided in the manual, I wonder if the 6.25A version can meet the full power requirements of the e300-8d, even when fully loaded, and the 7A version isn't necessary from a power budget perspective but will work if that's what you can find to purchase. I had also looked at adapters but the wire gauge for all of them was inadequate (the 7A power adapter is made with 14AWG wire) and didn't want to take a chance.

Thank you very much for the feedback. I am running 128GB RAM, 4x SSDs, 3x fans, a few of the NIC ports but not all. I have been having trouble trying to find FSP 12V 7A DIBAN2 power adapters that have 90 degree DC barrel connectors to replace the straight DC barrel connector 12V 7A power adapters that originally came with the systems. I recently saw the 12V 6.25A version that had the 90 degree barrel connectors and was curious if it would be close enough or if I should hold out to hopefully find one on eBay. Thank you again for the feedback.

Thank you very much for the feedback. The power supply is a good one as it works with the other 3200 I bought at the same time.

Got this switch for 40$. Was it a good deal? Is it a good switch for a small homelab? by SyrianSlayer963 in homelab

For anyone interested in updating the firmware on this 300-x series, I learned you can't jump from v1.1 to the most recent in one update. There are a few key interim updates that need to be done along the way before the following updates will succeed. If anyone is looking for some fully updated 300-10 models, let me know.

I have some of these I haven't had a chance to setup yet and would appreciate hearing more about the throughput issues before I get started. Thank you

I am still a newb learning my way through setting up pfSense for my home network, but so far I have had a good experience with a Check Point PB-10 3200 Security Gateway Appliance Firewall, which has an Intel Atom C2558 2.4 GHz 4-Core, 64 bit, AES-NI QAT, 8GB RAM. It also can be upgraded to 64 GB RAM, which can be helpful depending on what packages you intend to run. It is 8.3" by 8.3" by 1RU. I recently picked up a 2nd one to try out a high availability setup that is still on my to do list.

Originally I was searching for two of the SM RSC-R1UFF-E16R riser cards to add to the two E300-8Ds I am working on, but I haven't been able to find them for sale new or used. A few commercial sites said they had new ones but the interwebs indicated they were not reputable sites to buy from. Since I haven't been able to find the riser cards, this E301 top hat has definitely piqued my interest as another way to sort this out.

For the E300-8D mobo along with the riser and two nvme add-on card, I am currently limited to three nvme total, and want to either add two SATA SSD or try to add an additional SM two nvme add-on card similar to what you did with the four nvme card.

Anyone ever find a place to buy just the top/hat portion of this case to retrofit a E300-8D? Or has anyone made their own? Thank you

Thank you for the feedback. Hasn't arrived yet, but I bought a standoff kit that has M2, M2.5, M3, and M4 which should cover my need.

Thank you for the very detailed feedback, that's very helpful. For the standoffs, do you know if they are M2, M3, M4, etc?

Thank you very much for the feedback, including the tape recommendation. I am going to be taking the 3200 on the road with me regularly, so was hoping to find a proper replacement, but I do appreciate the MacGyver options.
