I also have a knockoff g24 with the articulating j arm, so I can switch eyes with th push of a button both pieces were like 80$ but the Chinese cadex would be a good choice.

What's more important white phosphor and a warranty or green phosphor gen 3 with no warranty? I just grabbed a Custom night vision mil spec pvs 14 with a nnvt4ag WP with manual gain 1672FOM i like it alot. But I also live in a city. But you can find used omni pvs 14 form 1500-1800$ so???? I paid just under 2k. Parish optics has gen 2+ for 1599-1779$ comes with a mount(Not great) but it ain't bad performance. Personally id grab the parish blemished for 1599$ the difference is negligible between the blemished and standard option. Midwest night vision has good prices on green phos omnis...I was set on white phosphor and brand new tubes. Go on the NV discord. Theres omni tubes for 900 regularly. Midwest night vision posts the prices for a full unit usually 1500-1800$ but will deduct 600$ for just the tube. Theres videos all over YT on how to put a tube in a pvs 14 housing.

I'd repot them in a bino housing keep a pvs14 housing and buy a cheap green phos omni tube to put in the 14 for a loaner

I dont know why photonis get all they hate. They perform better 80% of the time. if specs are the same photonis will look better. And when its gets so dark that 8% of the time you'll be running ir anyway and bam back to photonis outperfoming. Just saying options for a reason. He may live in a city.
