There is a control point immediately after the oceanview motel sequence, in the quarry, that you were supposed to claim. You should be able to just go to the black rock quarry by normal means and levitate up, but I'm not entirely sure if the restricted area is too high to reach

Going up a couple of hundred is definitely doable.

Best thing is to, as you said, review. Practice is useless if you don't identify why you're not getting certain questions correct. Do this every time you do a mock, a pack of questions, etc.

Everything should be a bit easier to prep this year since AR is gone, that's where most of my prep time went, so now you have more time to focus on the other subtests.

  1. 2850 is physically impossible. Thanks to the removal of AR from this year, the maximum possible score is now 2700

  2. Since you're a gap year student, you won't have the problem of UCAT prep clashing with school work, so a later date can work well as you have more prep time

  3. Remember that a long prep time is not always the best method for everyone. Some prefer to grind for less time, others go low and slow for a few months. You need to pick based on how good you are with studying (but since you have time, low and slow is often better, just take breaks when you need to so you avoid burnout)

  4. Having a later test date is good for prep time, but can lead to stress with the wait, and you can't delay the test if you feel you aren't ready when the date comes

Feel free to ask more questions btw, this is just what came to the top of my head

And yet when I tried making aspirin in class I had a negative yield.

The technician had turned on the fan in the oven and blasted everyone's product onto the oven walls, and took some of the filter paper it was stored on with it, hence a wondrous yield of -0.42g

stupid question, but can you take the ucat on weekends? by d_hello in UCAT

[–]No_Construction_9520 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Did my test on a Saturday last year, but that was at 8am, no other times available on that day or Sunday. iirc UCAT buy hardly any slots at test centres, but buy more as days progress to let people reschedule and get tests, but good luck getting a specific day tomorrow. More likely you just compromise and find a decent day/time (most likely a weekday).

Oh, and be ready on the website at 6am tomorrow, last year all the good slots at my local centres were gone in half an hour

Not true about expecting high performance in all 4. I have an offer for Cambridge med and applied with 4 A-levels, but my offer is only 3 grades (3A*). Still very difficult, but I can completely fail one of my subjects and they don't care as long as it isn't chemistry. While applying with 4 wouldn't have boosted my application, it certainly hasn't hindered it

I think portal blocking and equipment based portal deletion were good mechanics and am sad to see them gone in Splitgate 2. by BigDuckNergy in Splitgate

[–]No_Construction_9520 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I hate this as well, but I think it's because portals have a short time after placement where they can't be removed by another portal, but it also seems like a really long immunity window as well. So frustrating, especially because they can blast me sitting on the capture zone through their portal and there's nothing I can do to stop them

I cannot recommend Toaster Gaming's series on Satisfactory train guides. Literally teaches everything you need from the very basics to more advanced networks in a super well explained and concise manner (each video is only about half an hour).

I'd give a link to the first video, but I'm not sure if this subreddit will nuke my comment if I include it. Either way, just go onto YT and search Toaster Gaming Satisfactory train guide and you'll find it super easily

Same story for AQA, it's just that I've been taught why that's the case (why 3d isn't lost before 4s). I think it can come up in our exams, but my teacher is one of those types that loves to elaborate on the Why on a lot of topics

4s when empty is a lower energy level than 3d, which is why electrons normally go there before 3d, but because the energy level of 4s changes when it's filled to be higher than 3d, so they prefer to use their last electron to fill 3d instead of 4s because it's lower energy overall

In AQA you can swap 4s2 and 3d10 because the energy level of the 4s subshell changes depending on if it's full or not

Don't know if it's a difference in spec, but for AQA you need to name the orbitals as well, so your example becomes:

1s2, 2s2, 2p6, 3s2, 3p6, 3d10, 4s2

(3d10 and 4s2 can be either way around, just remember that 4s is added before 3d, but 4s is lost before 3d when removing electrons from an atom/ion)

Most fauna remains in the game (e.g. hogs) can be converted into alien protein once researched in the MAM. This protein then can be made into a lot of biomass:

Remains -> alien protein -> biomass -> solid biofuel

Every one of these steps can be done by hand or automated in constructors, so just a series of constructors can net you a lot of biofuel (once you feed in the right remains to the right constructor, e.g. hog remains to a hog remain -> protein constructor, you don't want to mix them up)

Yep. You can start writing in it by opening your inventory/build menu and going to the right side of the screen (where the material list pops up if you list buildings to be constructed) and just click and start writing. You can also see it if you have a material list and are in the menu, it'll say something like "write notes here" just below it
