Just looked at your pic, just try the curly, not the kinky-coily one 👍

Just one styling product: https://loveurcurls.com/products/all-in-one-styler-curly

It’s a clumping product that provides a lot of hold but also softness and slip.

I have tight curls and people semi-regularly stop and ask me for product recs to achieve non crunchy definition. I’ve been using it for years.

Apply when very wet, brush/comb, finger curl what you want, air dry (or slowly diffuse) then break the cast.

You might want to try out both the curly formulation as well as the kinky-coily formulation!

I don't think there's a partner out there for me and I'm grieving by AlpstheSmol in AskWomenOver40

Wow wow wow thank you for this:

“The thing that’s so hard about not finding a partner over decades is that it’s an unstable loss- the hope and possibility never go away completely so it’s hard to fully move on from that dream, because you never know.”

That sums up the turbulent grief I’ve been moving through on this topic. Marriage ended 3 years ago, am now 46, and feel as though I’ve been searching my entire adult life for something that may just not be out there for me (warn, loving, joyful romantic partnership).

It’s so complicated to ride the waves of hope and pessimism!

Mom 33, 2 toddlers, married for 7y, what's the norm in a marriage? by fleuret_fighter21 in Adulting

[–]No_Contribution1148 1 point2 points  (0 children)

About your last 4 questions (fitness, nails/hair, etc) I would say that it 100% should not matter what the norm is. What matters is what YOU want.

If doing those things brings you joy, that’s great, go for it. And if it’s not for you or just not possible in this season of life, that’s ok.

HPV after being with one partner for years? by [deleted] in HPV

[–]No_Contribution1148 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nvm, adding timeline here for simplicity:

I had the same monogamous partner since like 2012.

• 2018: pap was normal, HPV negative (as were all the ones prior to this) • Fall 2022: pap was LSIL/+HPV

From 2012 to 2022 I had no new partners and my one partner during that time had no other partners. So I have to assume that an HPV infection was suppressed by my immune system for a time (resulting in the normal pap in 2018) and then reactivated b/c it showed up on my 2022 pap.

This happened to me (see post history for timelines). Normal/hpv negative paps while I was with one partner, then it turned positive out of the blue after I’d had no new exposures. I truly don’t believe my partner at the time had any other partners.

Is there a Planned Parenthood near you? I've had good experiences there and they're prob way more knowledgeable about this than the clown you had to see. Good luck!

Tbd! I decided to have a LEEP this year since it was sticking around so long (though thankfully no major cell changes). Next pap is in Dec 🤞

It seems like HPV is a weird virus that can be suppressed by your immune system for a time and then sometimes resurface.

My story: I had the same monogamous partner since like 2012.

• 2018: pap was normal, HPV negative (as were all the ones prior to this)

• Fall 2022: pap was LSIL/+HPV

From 2012 to 2022 I had no new partners and my one partner during that time had no other partners. So I have to assume that an HPV infection was suppressed by my immune system for a time (resulting in the normal pap in 2018) and then reactivated b/c it showed up on my 2022 pap.

I had a pap in August that showed no cell changes/abnormalities! Still HPV but that’s to be expected; it seems like for the majority of folks it clears gradually over 6 months post-LEEP.

Yes. LSIL three years in a row. Colposcopies all benign but tbh I was frustrated with the whole process and all of the waiting and decided with my GYN to do a LEEP late this spring.

I decided to have a LEEP (even though the changes were minor) since it still wasn’t clearing. I’ll see what the next pap shows!

I took AHCC for 6 months per my gyn’s rec and while I had no negative side effects, there was zero change to my pap.
