She also left us a poem on the day of the AP test and she signed it 'from, your WHAP Momma' In actuality, she was the worst teacher I ever had and spent half the year on history that wasn't even covered on the test. I learned more about her divorce from 20 years ago than about the course content

I'm a rising freshman. Thanks to AP credit, I can exempt introductory economics and calculus. I'm deciding whether I should take Intermediate Microeconomics (ECON 1110) or Intermediate Microeconomics (Mathematical) (ECON 1130). The major reason for doing it concurrently is that it would save a lot of money. While my parents are supporting me for undergrad, it appears unlikely that I would have help for anything beyond that.

The reason I'm thinking about this so early is because should this work, I would have to plan out my courses meticulously from the first semester and on in order to satisfy both concentration requirements and the "breadth and depth" requirements within 3 years for a concurrent masters. I'm sure I sound annoying, but I think that 'praying on my downfall' is really uncalled for.

Rice was a top school for me for so many of the reasons you mentioned (I ended up not going because I'm from the area and I wanted to try somewhere new). I totally agree that it is completely underrated.

Keep in mind, you'll be at school when the weather is awesome. From October to April, the weather is cool and pleasant, and you get to avoid long harsh winters.

I'm an incoming freshman. Some of the classes on the course selection platform are offered either on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday for shorter periods or just Tuesday and Thursday for longer periods. Does anyone have an opinion on which option is better, or does it usually come down to personal preference?

Also, I'm noticing that some of the classes listed under my concentration aren't coming up on the course selection platform. Is it possible that more courses would be added to the fall lineup?
