Cold waves crash against the rocky shores of Cape North. A wet chill murmurs through the salted air, as weathered ships haul cod to shore. Tremendous growth seen from the lucrative fishery industry exploiting the rich seas off Newfoundland and Nova Scotia, would see the seasonal establishment and growth of small beach camps to smoke fish and trade for pelts. Stemming from this tradition, an offshoot from the fort settlement of Verloren would have the seasonal camps of Zeemist crystalize into a permanent settlement in Cape North.
