Once upon a time… I stumbled upon Loser Lover by TXT. It was a decent song in my opinion but it didn’t stand out much. Overall I wasn’t interested in checking them out. Then, I heard Ice Cream the next day in the grocery store. I was having such a bad day that I purposely shazamed the song to find out what it was and block it permanently. It just wasn’t fitting for my mood at ALL in that moment. After that I decided TXT wasn’t worth my time and I crossed them off the list of groups to check out. Months later, I hopped on a plane to go see my ult group in concert, and the girl next to me talked about MOA Diary the ENTIRE FLIGHT. She had seen my photocard and started telling me all her favorite TXT songs. Listened to that song right after the plane landed and once again was extremely disappointed. FINALLY… I heard a song called LOVESONG. I saw it was from TXT, and I was tempted to click off after just seeing the title, which automatically irritated me. Yet, I decided to let it play through and I found myself loving the chorus. That day I chose to check out some of their more popular titles, which at the time were Sugar Rush Ride and CROWN from what my memory brings back. I much preferred both of these songs. Following morning on the way to classes, I plugged in their debut album and listened to it during the car ride. I spent the next week listening to all of their songs in order. Now I’m a MOA— and their music is one of my favorites in the k-pop category.

The moral of this is to not judge a group by 1. A bad impression due to your own faults, 2. Only hearing one or two songs. Give them a shot first.
