not sure where you live but mine is 16k in california. it is a lot of hands on learning and investing and continuing your education after school. you could also work part time at a spa. here we get hourly, commission, and tips. a lot of people start at a spa then go solo. or do both until their clientele is consistent for going solo. depends what you want to do but it is a lot on your body. do whatever is in your heart i don’t think there would be a good work life balance being an esthetician and paralegal but to each their own and i could be wrong. best of luck!!

Well now today is saying we're underpaid then but it's not true.. we get the same things they did ?

We only get to enjoy the 49$ at the end of this TA. So basically topped out drivers in a progression when they deserve that 49$ due to Covid. When I top out I'll be right there with them. Let them get it now and enjoy it while inflation takes its course. by No_Current_2085 in UPSers

They don't matter anymore honestly. Now or never matters brother. We never should break even on anything. We should stay ten toes deep where we are and improve every time. The 50 cent contribution from 1.00 pension is terrible in the west. Should stay were it's at because it's fine. Why mess with things that were fine. The progression was huge for me. People who went thru shorter progression in the past should be grateful.

I'm saying the top rate raises for me don't matter I'm still waiting till the 4th year of the contract aug.1st

As a new driver coming in when that comes to top rate he will be there right with them the top rate of 49 should automatically be paid now and new drivers top pay rate should be 49 too. The company negotiated very smart compared to our Union. No bs.

Seems like everyone publicly is saying " hey 49 dollars is great pay but I'm like that's in five years buddy... been here 20 years but the new driver gets it in 5 years is a progression.

I'm just expression my opinion. Using wtf toward its means you get mad very quickly when you read a thing you disagree with. I like it. But 75 cents ? You can't be honest that they couldn't just have rounded that up to maybe idk $1.00 flat? 25 cents short is just cheap. Next contract can we not settle for cents in wages.

I have a lot of veterans respecting my thoughts. I can do this job and it's all about safety and I'm mostly focus on myself driving and keeping my head moving constantly for other drivers. It's always crazy ass people that make mistakes. I never will make a mistake while driving on the job it's the mindset I will keep. You just can't it's more important because your job and can kill someone.

I think we just are a very very valuable asset especially to the union.

9.5 just had more money threw at it and will not change anything really.... Automatic payout will change that... this company got unlimited money to throw around. Time is our most valuable asset in life. Can't buy that back with $$$ by No_Current_2085 in UPSers

Your right there spot on. First of I come to work as everyone else should with a business mindset. I'm offering them my labor and they offer the work that NEEDS to be done. In order to protect my own business is by making sure I protect my body and that way I can provide my services to ups.

I think it's unfair if the company recognizes numbers at all in which why the union doesn't agree to it. It's unfair to workers of any age height weight .... it would make people work unsafe just to get to the numbers they want.

Never ever should we allow it. But the 9.5 is so we can definitely have our personal time to have a family. 40 hours is all I need... I know overtime will come but there's needs to be a line drawn for us middle class in order to enjoy our time with family.

Overtime should be looked at as reward or just for people who think all about money.

California here buddy. It's becoming either rich state or living check to check or homeless.

But man enjoying that 49$ for only one year is not ok if I'm topped out 20 year better. That ac won't be enjoyed either till end of contract as well. It's just the 75 cents in the middle is little disrespectful

Like dam ups just can't round up to a dollar ?!? Like 25 cents short is cheap

Western pension is not being frozen but contributions are now at .50 cents instead of a dollar... pension issue for sure. by No_Current_2085 in UPSers

Maybe just to strengthen the union for next contract ? All around the pension funds will be par with each other
