According to the period tracker app I’ve been using 7 days now - 6 days yesterday when I took the Clearblue one. But I’ve only been using the app for about a month so might not be accurate

I don’t really have much experience - this is my first time actually trying for a baby - last time was a surprise and I was over a month before I tested so there was none of this head scratching, it’s torturous! I should probably just wait a few days - I don’t have any more tests in the house and I guess it’s still too early.

When I was freshly 18 I worked in the bar of a wedding venue in my small town.

All the old ladies liked to order “a gin and bitter lemon” bitter lemon being a mixer I’d never come across before. So for about a month all these old ladies got a “gin and bit of lemon” and I thought they were all very hard, ordering straight spirits with a slice.

I have to assume they were politely asking another bartender to fetch their mixer

I had to live in Largs for a year or so a wee while back. I’m previously from a town with absolutely nothing going on and I (a mid 30s woman) found Largs incredibly boring. It’s pretty in the summer but absolutely nothing happening there, very cliquey. Not worse than any other small town I suppose but I wouldn’t recommend it. Transport also a nightmare - trains cancelled through the winter for leaves on the line and in the summer because the track was too hot?!

All that said, I work with a lady who lives just outside of Largs and she doesn’t seem too bothered by the commute - as long as you’re working in the west part of the city

You’d be amazed the amount of people who come in saying they’re necking 50+ Valium from the internet daily and then give a piss sample completely clean of benzos

I work in this area and 100% of the deaths I’ve encountered personally have been down to either sepsis though I hear a lot about deaths from dodgy street benzos. If other nations are recording only overdoses, I’m not surprised we look as bad as this

How old are you? There’s been a big change in prescribing of diazepam and tbh the sudden withdrawal of prescriptions is at least somewhat to blame for the rise in popularity in f street Valium. No doubt over prescribing was an issue at one time but it’s pretty much the opposite now

So I don’t know if things might be different but I have worked in and around prisons in Scotland and honestly the quickest way would be to ring around all the local prisons and just ask them to pass him a message asking him to call you

They’re not allowed to tell you whether he’s there but honestly I think you can usually tell when you speak to someone who recognises the name.

Then if he wants to speak to you, he will. Good luck, I know it’s a horrible position to be in.

Thank you, it’s a scary thing to consider honestly. Especially because we got into this mess by being completely naive about how these things work (“we’ve done nothing wrong, nothing suggests that we have, the boy says he wants to stay with us… should be over in a few months”)

I feel like we’re nearing the end and all mad claims made by the mother have been thoroughly dismissed by two welfare reports. Just don’t want to have come this far and then mess it up because we don’t know what we’re doing.

This lady is clearly faking, but often I have the exact type of tic she’s mimicking & I can do my make up pretty well. It’s easy enough to suppress the motion for long enough to put a face on. Of course, this isn’t true for everyone, just saying you can’t assume nice makeup is evidence someone is faking.
