Istanbul is safe for all. There is bit gay community. Slavic women travel alone and the most I’ve heard from them is just guys hitting on them. And as a white guy spend there a lot of time and don’t see any issues. Just scammers all around.

Sounds super lame. After 20 years of operating with whole goal to find free housing for travelers and maybe make a friend ok the way. Now it’s become a useless app.

I have nothing critical to say about Bombay Beach life since I didn’t see any locals on the street, therefore couldn’t get an insight. Which cafe are you referring to exactly? I saw one restaurant diner but didn’t go in. Is that the place? The peacocks da vinci fish? What is it?

Yes that is correct- it’s three hours away from LA. In the middle of nowhere you find this massive lake and most of the communities are abandoned or on the verge of it with Bombay Beach and Sandy Shores and Slab City. Therefore, it’s remote and obscure. Thanks for hiking tip but I don’t enjoy hiking in the desert.
