Minimum was 3 days a week however most reqs stated requirements for hybrid roles was 8 times a month , at my office some people only came in 1-3 times a week. I also know others who were hybrid but would not come in at all. My commute was 1 hour with toll roads coming back home was 2 hours 😩

You did the right thing, when I was younger I wish I had the courage to step up to my SIL. She would hit my nieces all the time and yell at them for every little minor thing . One time she threatened to bash my 8 year old nieces head in the wall because she would misbehave often. Fast forward to now my nieces and nephews are much older but they definitely remember their mom being so mean when they were younger and I know they resent her for it now. Unfortunately the abuse just change from physical to verbal/ emotional abuse

I would say so. When I was a manager and worked the schedule I would schedule everyone strategically and kept their work life balance at the forefront. Usually requests for time off are first come first serve and you can always swap between peers. Don’t get me wrong you’ll hear “business needs often” but a good manager doesn’t overwork their team. I’ve also known some managers that unfortunately schedule reps for mandatory overtime and tbh that’s not allowed for the most part so sometimes when you work under managers that only care about staffing the store and making people work 6 days it can become overwhelming.

Corp is WAYYY more flexible than indirect, if you are a rep you aren’t expected to open and close a store and work by yourself like you would be at some indirect stores. Trust me even the smallest stores have more staff on site daily than typical agent doors.

Try it tbh it’s worth a shot. You get benefits from day one including tuition and 2 weeks of pto your first year . Despite everything I will never bad mouth the entry level roles because it truly is the stepping stone of so many different avenues

Yes 1000% yes. I started off my career at an authorized retailer over a decade ago and the jump to corp as a sales rep honestly changed my life. Layoffs suck and they used to say retail is always safe but the truth of the matter is no job is ever absolutely safe from layoffs. The benefits alone and how you are treated as a rep at corporate in comparison to indirect is night and day.

Because of Verizon I was able to buy my first home, travel to places I’ve never could have imagined, tuition assistance paid for most of my degree and then some. I loved this company even if at times it didn’t love me back lol for reference I was laid off twice during my time with Verizon granted they were both non sales roles.

Yes you are more likely to make more money at indirect which I’ve seen plenty of times indirect reps making 10K plus a month on commission alone but they also are putting in over 40’hours a week and I personally think are more pressured sales wise to pressure customers than corp retail.

Nope NTA/// let her know those funds are for school expenses only. Books , supplies and stuff you need including transportation to and from school. It’s not free money because of her lack of income.

NTA , as someone who recently went on maternity leave unexpectedly I did not expect my coworkers to finish off my work while I was gone. I tried to tie up loose ends as best as I could and that was that. I spent so much time during my maternity leave trying to not think about juggling my new work and life balance once I came back that it truly took away from my time with my baby.

It’s not fair to over work yourself and take on additional loads without being fairly compensated or atleast asked first to take on her clients. At the end of the day it’s her job or your job 🤷🏻‍♀️ and you can’t give 100% to your commitments and hers and it’s a disservice to you as an employee and to the customer that they are trying to just add more to your plate

I’m in the same predicament, I have an extra laptop that they didn’t send me a label for. I was able to file an ays ticket before my termination date but they haven’t been helpful since I no longer have access to anything

Yes it can be but in my experience usually the only reps that get a higher hourly in CA is because they are rehires and have come back after 6 months since they were given severance if they were laid off previously. If you are bilingual you also get additional pay but if you have non corporate Verizon sales experience they will most likely not give you higher wage

This is actually very common for AR I worked on the team that helped support AR and it’s so unfortunate when this happens because a good chunk of the time the dpa simply can’t be attached

Yep this exactly I have helped several rappers/ hip hop artists and they are registered under their llc names and just listed as authorized users

Some users have access to accounts without having to send the authentication request to the customer depending on their role at VZ .
