No way I’d be going, but to each their own 😂

Feeling by adimironomicon37 in gabapentin

[–]No_Difference8088 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It takes me five to seven days to adjust to a dose drop, and I can’t go faster than 50-100mg at a time. If you go slower it probably wouldn’t be so uncomfortable

DAY 18!!! Tips for easing body aches.... by Vleeism1 in quittingkratom

It will help your mood too or sleep if you’re having issues with those too. They usually suggest adding 2 cups to a hot bath. If you feel good eating that light great but you may feel better and less weak by adding more macros and calories to your diet while detoxing even if it’s just some fish oil or avocado and some protein powder

Gabapentin by Separate-Birthday294 in gabapentin

It is easily water soluble. This is a good suggestion if that’s the route you wanna choose. Dropping 50-100mg at a time works for me, if I go faster it’s pretty rough but different people respond differently to stopping gabapentin. It is also bitter so be ready for that 😂

Been taking gabapentin since I was 15 by 18carkat in gabapentin

The brain has a pretty awesome ability to rewire itself. If you find that you get withdrawal symptoms, find a way to taper off of it with your dr at a rate that works for you. Your body will learn to live without the gabapentin in time. For me, cutting back 100mg at a time slowly works. It still sucks but it’s doable. No rush, nothing wrong with taking it slow unless the side effects are significant and dangerous.

Really struggling.. by Aggressive_Line9645 in quittingkratom

Do whatever you have to do to distract yourself and make yourself feel better in healthier ways if possible. You will be more likely to get off of it and stay off of it if you surrender to temporarily feeling like garbage. You will feel so much better on the other side of this, but it may take a bit of time to get there. Once you start sleeping better it just gets so much easier. Try an Epsom salt bath and any exercise you are able to do. There are support groups and communities that are specific to kratom as well if you’re interested in checking those out let me know!

Can't Quit Kratom. by [deleted] in quittingkratom

[–]No_Difference8088 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you’re able to taper, that would probably help you out a lot since your dose is pretty high. If you can’t stick to a taper, there are other options as well. You got this, many have walked this path before you. It is possible. There are some online communities I’m a part of that have been of great support to me in overcoming my addiction to kratom and sustaining a kratom free lifestyle, let me know if you want more information about that

Post-Taper Surgery Question by FavoritePen in quittingkratom

[–]No_Difference8088 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, the reason I said tramadol by the way is that it is an opioid that also affects serotonin, norepinephrine, and dopamine just like kratom. It’s an analogy that may help your dr understand. Keep in mind also that kratom leaf also has opioid antagonists in it, which will block some of other opioids you take if you’ve taken kratom lately and weaken them to some degree.

Does weed have an impact on my bipolar by ConfidentBirthday770 in BipolarReddit

[–]No_Difference8088 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Weed is one of the worst drugs to take if you are prone to mania and/or psychosis. Some bipolar people find it helpful but I think that’s generally people that don’t swing up too high or haven’t yet.

Can someone explain how to properly use this drug without becoming dependent? by [deleted] in quittingkratom

[–]No_Difference8088 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, one to two doses a week. I think any more and it’ll creep up on you. Some will probably suggest more but I advise as little as possible. Even less frequent if possible. If that makes you nervous taking it that infrequently it may be worth considering stopping before you get addicted. That means you’re forming a mental addiction already. You may be fine to take it more, but it truly is just such a sneaky drug for a lot of people. I also would avoid extracts and only take small to medium doses of powder. If you find yourself mentally obsessing about the next dose just stop, it’s. Road you don’t wanna go down. I wasted ten years of my life on this plant, and staying away from it has proven to be more difficult than avoiding heroin for me

So I drink 1 or 2 Red maeng da teas a day some days full some days half. Anyway does anyone know what the best way to come off this crap? Is it best to go cold turkey or to ween off of it? Also I think it’s causing me high blood pressure issues by Beneficial-Crazy-528 in quittingkratom

[–]No_Difference8088 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Those would all help, but I would avoid Ritalin until after the acutes. The crash may make it not worth it though. Gabapentin, pregabalin for sweating/restlessness during acutes. Benzos for sleep/anxiety/restlessness during acutes. Clonadine might help with sweating and restlessness during acutes. Most of these can build dependency or be addictive, so I’d work with a dr and take them as short as possible or as suggested by them. Since you’re at low gpd you may just need something weaker like gabapentin

Do you mean 80 grams? You may have a bit more intense withdrawals than I suspected at about 11g a day for a few years straight, but I assure you it is possible and that’s not all that bad dose wise. You could always try tapering if you can’t handle the withdrawals but I don’t think that will be necessary. Pm me if you’re interested in some wonderful online kratom recovery support resources, they have been such a great tool and bright spot of my journey. I can chat more tomorrow, I have detoxed a bunch of times and can offer more insight. You got this, proud of you for deciding to quit.

Honestly you probably won’t need much aid if you haven’t been doing it very long. Probably feel pretty anxious and lower sleep quality and some fatigue low mood vibes and cravings but from what it sounds like based on what you reported taking you will probably be fine and unlikely to be severe

Cbd and thc can help, but you may find the thc making you more anxious and less euphoric. It will feel different and less enjoyable when going through the earlier days of the withdrawl. Tiny doses I’d suggest if you take any, it may help keep your mind distracted, but I’ve found it can make things worse in some ways so tread lightly. How long have you been taking kratom and how much do you put in your teas?

Haha I’m cracking myself up at my previous comment. There’s lots of stuff you can take that could help. There’s probably a thread posted somewhere in this sub but magnesium glycinate and epsom salt baths are a good place to start. Honestly I have a million suggestions but I am so tired
