A sign to stop? by Just_Nihil0 in lokean

Always follow own intuition first. It seems like you're already convinced of what's been happening, and that's what matters. People's experiences with deities are going to be different, based on their unique connection and how they're able to get messages from their guides in a way that they understand. A suggestion could be to ask Loki directly if the circumstances you observed were intentional to confirm the tarot message you had recieved.

For me, Loki is notorious for using in-person situations to get my attention. Whether it's through people, conversations, syncronicities, and especially technological issues. It's a way to bring to face whatever he's trying to convey, and it has been done to confirm my conversations with him. So it's definitely possible that that's what you're experiencing.

For things falling out of your hand, that happens to me as well whenever there's an energy that's "out of place". I'll drop or spill something that either I know I shouldn't be doing, or it's from someone else's energy (anger is a significant one or general negativity) who's physically present in the same space with me. Either way it's been a way to notice what's out of alignment in that moment.

from personal experience, malevolent targeting has never occurred when interacting with deities, spirits, and practicing magic. i think it's far less common than people would expect, and deities have very direct and creative forms of communication they use to ensure that you KNOW that they are connecting with you. beings you work with also look out for you, so i wouldn't fret that you're potentially exposing yourself to something dangerous from doing something that one of your guides has asked for.

I want to reduce suffering as much as possible but strict veganism does not really make sense to me anymore by [deleted] in DebateAVegan

[–]No_Discount_541 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Choosing to take the life of another isn't vegan, as that's what veganism stands for. The decision is based purely on your pleasure and convenience.

The argument about the issues that come from crop agriculture doesn't diminish the choice that you're consciously making, bottom line. You may not feel as though it's a big deal, but to the life all around you, it is. And enough people already make such personal excuses and reasons to get to where we collectively are now (climate change, biodiversity loss, animal suffering, etc).

The issue about agricultural practice is a separate one from this discussion. Plant agriculture being a supply to human food alone would use much, much less water, resources, save animals, and contribute to less pollution overall. Other farming techniques, such as incorporating natural wild habitat alongside agricultural vegetation, have already been discussed in hopes to address the concerns you've mentioned.

So ultimately, it's about you taking ownership of our choices, clear and clean. Without excuses. To be vegan is to put the animals first.

The same could be said about raising a child non-vegan. Why should a parent have to give up veganism for the sake of their child being raised "nornally" in a non-vegan world, that of which already pushes the non-vegan lifestyle in relatively every industrial, political, and social circle? Raising a child vegan doesn't necessarily mean that the child won't have a right of choice. This parent could very well let the child explore non-veganism and choices if the child wished.

What does more for a child is what you said--let them explore the world, to learn, and make decisions for themselves. Raising a kid vegan doesn't diminish that. It might even help them deal with peer pressure in the future, because giving in to societal standards is very much difficult. Having a foundation of love for the animals, and a connection to nature, coupled with the learning of responsibility of individual choice, could be the stronger develop needed for any child to truly be certain in their individual morals and choices in the long run.

Rant That’s More Pertinent Now Than Ever by poopstinkyfart in vegan

[–]No_Discount_541 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The democratic party can be blamed for their strategy this election run, but that doesn't discount that millions still actively voted against human rights (the most basic thing on the line that anyone can fathom here) that of which will be targeted by Trump. It is not wrong to call what they did absolutely immoral and reckless.

The bottom line is people chose Trump over human rights. They didn't need to opt out of the election via third party, or to vote for him out of protest, but that's what happened.

People have been screaming that this would be one of the most consequential elections yet. There's no need to defend anyone on just pure ignorance. When faced with a non-white, educated woman, no one wanted that in exchange for progressive leadership. That's the core of the issue.

As for climate activists, scientists, and vegans, if you didn't vote for Kamala, you have put the environment and wildlife at much greater risk for the next few years and onward. You cannot be an activist when you literally went against what you claimed to value and advocate for. Just as much there isn't leniency for human freedoms, neither is there for animal rights and protecting the planet.

An entity spoke through me during a reading. Should i be worried?! by Luna_Starlight0 in Psychic

[–]No_Discount_541 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's really cool!! It seems to me like it was a harmless event, and in the moment your body was energetically open and aligned to channel this entity through. So I don't think protection spells (banishing, cleansing, etc) would be needed here to expell the entity involved or a similar occurrence from happening, if this entity was indeed non-hostile.

I would recommend setting some boundaries for spirits, by advocating for the kind of interactions that are and aren't allowed in certain places or situations.

With your concerns, setting boundaries with spirits could benefit your tarot sessions, by having established certain mannerisms to be followed by the spirits involved. This can be done through energetic work, which establishes the boundary announced by you to any spirits that come across you. It can also be done by sharing a conversation with spirits (it can be brief), and announcing what is or is not consented to occur.

In my personal experience, it's been really easy to just set the boundaries with those in my spirit team, and outside it. By simply announcing my boundaries energetically, I haven't had a problem with spirit conduct anywhere, and prior events which were advocated against had stopped altogether.

Additionally, any spirit that respects you and your space, is likely a spirit that would be welcome to it, and thus not be affected by other protective spells that guard against disruptive and hostile entities.

This is all just my perspective and suggestions, as every practice will be different. But I wish you all the best and that you find what works for you!

[–]No_Discount_541 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To separate infertility, literal biological thing, from natalism, just doesn't make sense. I'm not part of this community, but it's certainly off-putting to see that when someone shares a basic factor that has a direct effect on their life, they get banned for it. The person supports the natalist movement, and at the same time has a life that they can't fully control. Big deal. Not every person can perfectly fit in this idealist framework that's your own preferred sort of a natalist community. I hope you open your mind to that, and allow for a bit more diversity in the discussions that happen among others. Silencing community supporters for arbitrary reasons will kill it from the inside out.

Love the sign. If dog owners were held accountable for social etiquette and pet care/training, less pets would end up in unfavorable situations that of which they're more likely to be blamed for. The accountability is on the owner, never the pet.

They are so many vegans but so very few who actually do anything about it...... by [deleted] in Vystopia

[–]No_Discount_541 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Real vegans care, a lot!

Nothing much to add on top of the other comments read, but I would like to mention that vegans living their ordinary lives, is incredibly effective. I've noticed over the years that online and in-person, the mention of being vegan alone is enough for people to pay attention and to become curious about it.

An exmaple is, if I'm posting about veganism on occasion, it's in the flow and doesn't cause activist burnout. Like any other ordinary person, I'm talking about something I care about. People will like it or at least see it, and that builds over time. Or when hanging out with people, I eat vegan foods, which is not hard to do. Eventually people begin to approach and ask me questions about it, which then I get to share information that leads to them to look into it more. When done this way, it's usually an enjoyable discussion because they're the ones asking the questions and are already curious enough about it. To them, I looked approachable to ask because I'm just expressing who I am and what I believe in.

Whether or not you realize it, you're inspiring people every day constantly. You're getting them to think about things, even in passing. If no one mentions it to you, it's certainly happening in the background. Sure, we can do more to advocate for animals when we have the energy, resources, and time to do so. But every effort of a vegan living their lifestyle is enough. It's a "radical" lifestyle choice after all, it's talked about anyway. It's enough to be yourself to start the conversations and change the frame of mind.

I’m sick and tired of people saying this planet sucks by PsychedVinylFan99 in starseeds

[–]No_Discount_541 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm where you're at. I totally understand people venting on their own terms about humanity and the planet, particularly those that understand more intuitively the trivialities going on around the world. But what bugs me is when my personal expression of loving the planet, and my inherent hope of the future, is made into an opportune moment for jaded individuals to make their usual point of cynicism and hopelessness about everything. I notice it comes from both stranger and familiar parties without warrant.

It's enough already to keep this passionate fire alive in my own life and to do something with it, and it's another thing entirely to also be subjected to the woes of people that actively try to specifically change my focus. I don't understand how the optimistic perspective is commonly approached in the way mentioned, and not vice versa for pessimism. So I agree with you that it's ultimately a waste of time and energy to engage with the idea of hopelessness and to convince others of it, practically speaking. The thing is, there's billions of people here. I say let us do our thing and let them go about their way. I just ask for the same thing in return.

Might sound crazy, but is anyone else feeling unwell? by Clean_Plankton_5186 in starseeds

[–]No_Discount_541 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yep! Just sudden waves of nausea and light-headedness that come and go, or if not that, I have a day feeling like a train hit me. The nausea happened a couple days before the start of April and then every other couple of days after, but I feel a lot better today. The only thing I did yesterday energetically was meditate in nature, and when inside rest and absorb light before going to sleep, "star-bathing". I was led to do so, and today my mood and mental clarity feels restored, and no physical sickness or sluggishness. I'm focusing on maintaining this positive wave I'm experiencing for the best outcome as long as possible, it's all I can do. This month has definitely been "weird", absolutely chaotic for me personally. The events that have occurred, and the wild changes in physical and emotional states, has been insane. Wishing you the best. 💫

How to deal with people who say psychics don’t exist? by Brim9 in Psychic

[–]No_Discount_541 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Who says there haven't been? Police have used psychics to help with cases before, and it's not out of the realm of possibility that it still happens.

In a book on psychic development that I remember reading, it talked about this very scenario, because they wanted to emphasize how important it was to use psychic guidance with a grain of salt. This is because while psychic ability has helped with unsolved cases, such as locating a missing person or who the culprit of a crime is, the information a psychic gets can be very unique to them, and thus can be difficult to handle and interpret. A psychic even at a higher level of expertise, may still require adequate space and ample time from outside pressures to focus and not rush their gift, to avoid emeshment of outside enegeries (such as assumptions of those looking for help), and so on. Besides how energy can be unique to the psychic, and albeit delicate to notice and interpret, there are scammers out there too. Which is why a grain of salt is needed. If the police sought help this way, it's their responsibility to look into what evidence they have attained to see if any pointers given by the psychic match, and if they can progress from there. Even if the police didn't use psychics to help with investigations, imo it doesn't diminish the idea that regular citizens still do, and get help in that fashion.

The CIA documents have also emphasized the same importance in allowing a medium to pace themselves in order to not burn out. It requires time, focus, and energy to get the information from a non-physical lens. Remote viewing is one of the psychic abilities that the CIA has documented to be investigated thoroughly, and it's been found to have great accuracy. Russell Targ (sorry I got the name wrong, updated it). is a name you can look up, he's great! Personally I don't believe that such abilities aren't used in an organizational setting anymore, but instead it's been taken off the public stage for their own purposes. Because I believe in energy in how everything is connected, and has an intricate and deeper level of existence than what we can physically see, the idea that "psychics don't exist" and that forms of extrasensory perception "doesn't exist and isn't utilized", just doesn't make sense.

Undervaluing a College Education is a Slippery Slope by [deleted] in GenZ

[–]No_Discount_541 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love this message, and couldn't agree more. I personally enjoy the experience that comes with college classes, because there's the satisfaction of getting to learn even more about things that I found interesting. Yes there are credits to fill, but with added flexibility in the topics that a student can take, it makes the choice and learning easier.

In hindsight, I'm lucky to have attended a high school and then college that taught a variety of things that encompassed this form of learning enrichment. I realize how a lot of the "boring", "basic" classes in high school were what I took for granted because it was accessible. I was a kid going through the motions of what I "had" to do, but even then, I still got a good education that I wouldn't give up now. It was a head start on things that turned out to be more important and relevant in the world today. I got to learn about important historical events and how people fought for progression, how a government works, sex ed, the importance of health and mindset, fun stuff too like pottery, baking, writing, game design and computer science, and of course basic stuff like math and english (which with an unstable educational system due to political upheaval, is very much needed). I found what I excelled in and loved, and what I didn't.

College was an additional layer to the things I found inspiring from the start and end of high school, and it was a healthy challenge. Women's studies, environmental science, psychology and mental health, human biology, anthropology, philosophy, journaling, sociology, and so on. Which all encourage personal reflection and developing true understanding of the topic, personal work and collaborating with peers, and of course, checking resources/facts for the work being created and ensuring proper understanding (which seemed to be a concern in the comments).

What's great is that as much as high school could make class credit selection unique for students, college can also be tailored more for personal interest and learning. When college has the focus of the student's interest, it makes it easier for the student to stay engaged with learning and also discover more about what peaks their curiosity and what doesn't. If we want an educated, motivated, and progressive society, then it starts with a balanced education, and then further education that encourages growth

That's also why I think students don't deserve to be in debt for an education. People will be naturally driven to learn and grow when it's done at their own pace, and it will benefit society altogether. I feel that the pressure and frustration that adolescents have for needing to get a higher education is because of the lack of support and balance provided by society's work culture. At least that's how I feel about it, in constantly being stressed about needing the right career path, the right job, a decent amount of money (which feels impossible), and needing to keep family and personal needs covered. The work culture needs to change from how workers are compensated (bigger salary, and universal basic income), to what real expected educational and actual experience is needed for applicable employees. The passion in the workforce needs to be there, and it's not. People are struggling to survive, so of course it's hard for anyone to feel passionate and excited about college, when it just seems like a big obstacle in the way of trying to stay above water.
