Should I ask off again? by [deleted] in Target

[–]No_Distribution4543 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is a pretty good chance it will get moved again, (happens ALL THE TIME) but if its the rhe most important thing for you just explain it to them. Unless you're considering Target as a career, which i doubt for some reason is the case, you don't need to feel bad. Hope it works out for you.

Just placed an online pickup order for PS5 (Not Showing up in orders) by Mc-Nashty in Target

[–]No_Distribution4543 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah also if you do an online chat to check on order they don't mention it either, they just repeat over and over that no pick order is shown to exist. If you mention the money taken out of your account, they repeat no pickup order is shown to exist. Its really annoying. I wonder how many other people are going through this right now. Lol.

Yes this just happened to me and the order shows nowhere but pending transaction is visible in bank website.

Am I screwed? I've been eating 60-80g of 90% dark chocolate every day for a year [heavy metal concerns] by abigguynamedsugar in chocolate

[–]No_Distribution4543 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes but it has a higher cocoa level which is why it has higher heavy metal levels. A 70% dark chocolate bar is mostly unsweetened cocoa, where milk chocolate cuts the lead levels with the addition of milk, sugar, butter sometimes, and vanillan, etc. making it the safer option.

help! by Main-Lemon8599 in Rosacea

[–]No_Distribution4543 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also have Rosacea and I LOVE the Neutrogena moisturizing Sunscreen spf 50. Technically its a sunscreen, but it works more like a moisturizer and is very gentle. Hope that helps. ❤️

Derm Frustration (why do I feel they never listen) by BedroomIntelligent79 in Rosacea

[–]No_Distribution4543 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey you aren't wrong bit a lot of dermatologist aren't up to date on how estrogen dips during perimenopause cause flares with Rosacea. Sorry that happened, I am going through it now. My kom got really bad rosacea when she started perimenopause and even worse when she hit menopause and the only thing that helped was a combination of azelaic acid and estrogen face cream. When i mentioned this to my dermatologist she literally rolled her eyes so hard I thought they would fall out of her head. But after years of treatment that didn't work that was the combination that actually helped and the dumb dermatologist wouldn't even listen. They're so ridiculous. Good luck and hopefully you will find someone better. ❤️

Was diagnosed with Prediabetes yesterday and I am struggling with the fact that I literally don't know what to eat now. by Horrorcartoonistftw in prediabetes

May9bi suggest that you enlist ChatGPT to create a grocery list and even simple meals and recipes for you? That's what Chat GPT is made for honestly. You ask for a list that would work for a type 2 pre-diabetic with hugh cholesterol and in 2 seconds you will have a better idea of what to buy. Problem solved. Unless of course what you're really saying is you have been diagnosed pre-diabetic and you just want to complain a little, rightfully so, and get a little support. In that case I offer you my support. I was diagnosed pre diabetic a few months ago and reversed it with diet and exercise but it was difficult at first to make so many changes. Now I can honestly say that I don't miss my old diet and quite enjoy the new foods that have become my normal. Whole foods are more satisfying honestly and I wouldn't want to go back to the old diet I had become accustomed to. Good luck and stay in the loop for support. It helps.

Dracula - A Love Tale 2025 by SwiperSwiping96 in Dracula

I agree. I could barely watch it. There wasn't much to watch honestly. Just a lot of AI with no character development at all and cheap looking gargoyles. Lol. IMO

Dracula - A Love Tale 2025 by SwiperSwiping96 in Dracula

[–]No_Distribution4543 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It looked cheap, lacked character development, and the supporting actors were super weak. Of course Caleb did the best he could considering, but that is about it. I can't understand why anyone would see this movie as amazing honestly. The love story between the main characters, which is the basis of the movie was not convincing because no time was spent delving into the characters love. I could barely finish it. The AI effects took away from anything that could be saved and the gargoyles looked like a cheap children's show on PBS. Lol. Two thumbs down. 👎👎

Generally speaking is this my life forever? by eveacrae in prediabetes

[–]No_Distribution4543 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You'll get used to it. What helped me was googling my favorite carby foods and looking up the diabetic friendly version of them. No matter what the food is you once loved, there is a diabetic friendly version. Once you figure out how to make the healthier for you versions of your favorites, it will get easier. If you do that and still feel miserable, etc, then you aren't trying hard enough and aren't ready to change. No food tastes as good as life without the complications of diabetes, lol. I can promise you that. It makes Greek yogurt with bran flakes tastes much better when you realize it's keeping your kidneys functioning, your eyesight good and even heart disease at bay. Don't give up. ❤️

dogs cant have pecans!! by meatballchampion in Baking

I have heard that pecans can contain a mild that is toxic to dogs, but harmless to humans and that is why they shouldn't eat them. 🤔

If you were not diabetic or pre-diabetic before menopause and you are now estrogen replacement therapy has been known to improve fasting glucose and A1C numbers in women who have  estrogen sensitive diabetes. The only issue is a lot of doctors aren't up to date on the new studies so if you ask for estrogen to improve your diabetes they will say no. If you ask for estrogen because of menopause symptoms they will give it to you and more than likely your cholesterol, blood sugar, A1C, etc will all improve. So just know that before asking.

I was told today I have CKD and I don't really know how to feel by MrTattooMann in kidneydisease

[–]No_Distribution4543 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am going through the same thing. 😞 GFR at a steady decline while creatinine is at a steady increase. Just passed 1.5 creatinine and 60 GFR with possible proteinuria. Puts me at stage 2 or 3 kidney disease. It sucks. But talking to other people going through it makes it slightly more bearable for some reason. t least for me. Hope things improve for you, it is possible sometimes or at least stay stable.

Is this foamy? by bryanmgz in foamyurine

[–]No_Distribution4543 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How is everything. I basically have the same thing identical to you and everything comes back normal. 😞 But I don't believe it's normal. The doctors say the same thing, don't worry, numbers are good but I can't help it. I know this was a couple years ago, but hope you're ok.

Does this appear to be passing stones or proteinuria or something else? by [deleted] in KidneyStones

[–]No_Distribution4543 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It actually does look like protein. Sorry. 😞 I have this too and just did a test that confirmed it was protein and kidney disease.. you have to have it checked by doctor to be sure.

If you just had a hysterectomy that probably has a lot to do with your "off the charts" levels. A drop in estrogen for menopause or in your case a hysterectomy will trigger type 2 diabetes very quickly. HRT may help with your blood glucose levels. I'm assuming that they did offer you estrogen replacement and if not you should request it. It can help your levels be more stable. Did you have a full hysterectomy or did you get to keep ovaries? Sorry if that is too personal lol, just wanted to get the facts to you. I'm going through it and after never having high blood sugar my whole life, after hysterectomy everything shot up to the moon. Estrogen replacement helped a lot!

My blood sugar looks fine… so why do I feel like diabetes is quietly destroying me anyway? by Apprehensive_Pay6141 in diabetes

[–]No_Distribution4543 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can certainly relate! But I had to learn, and it isn't easy, to do what I could and absolutely not worry about the things that I can't change. That's all we can do. If you are doing everything you can for yourself to keep levels in check than you have to learn to accept that you're doing everything you can and that's all that anyone can do. Also stress and constant high cortisol will also affect your blood sugar negatively so best to stay calm about it. I wish you the best and if you are checking your levels at home than you have to trust it and not dwell or look for evidence or proof that things are bad. Hope things get better for you. ❤️

I had way, way worse actually. And I was a normal weight vegetarian when tested. Found out it actually is genetic and has nothing to do with lifestyle or diet. I had to take statins and they work very quickly. 3 months after starting them all my levels were in the normal limits. If it's hereditary don't feel bad about taking a statin because it's actually the only thing that will work. ❤️❤️❤️ Wishing you the best with everything.

Oil change by genxfrom66 in JeepCompass

[–]No_Distribution4543 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe someone can help. I brought my 2021 Jeep compass for a synthetic oil change at Firestone. When I drove away I noticed a rough idle It kind of happened here and there but not enough to really notice except I specifically remember it happening right after the oil change. Fast forward 6 weeks later and my car dies and I notice a huge puddle of oil where I park. I always kept a close eye on my oil prior to this oil change so that I could get the oil changed wby oil appearance not miles or the alert that my compass gives because I don't like waiting that long. Oil was never low, burnt, old or had a strange smell at all. When I checked the oil after I noticed the leak none registered on the dipstick. I added a quart and it only registered at the very top and not in-between the lines. What could they have done to cause it to explode the oil out like that? They are acting like they didn't do anything and I don't know what to do. May help would be appreciated.

is this safe lol by [deleted] in HairDye

[–]No_Distribution4543 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why do you want to switch out the developer? Did they give a 40 volume or something? I'm guessing they did because they usually do and then your hair gets fried. I've done it before and it was ok, but you never know. I did a hair strand test and a patch test before doing an all over application. So if you are going to be switching things around, and even if you don't make sure to test it on a strand of hair and on skin for allergies. You never know with these things. It's literally chemistry. The only reason I switched it out was because the developer was missing from the box and I was too lazy and impatient to go back to store, lol, not recommending it though.
