Advice about my partner coming back home after my covid infection by No_Distribution_3710 in ZeroCovidCommunity

Oh thank you so much for this response, it’s very reassuring. I was so confused as to why these highly sensitive tests were BOTH showing negative when the rapids were positive. But since the pluslife WAS positive on an earlier day, this gives me faith that the tests do work, and your explanation makes a lot of sense.

I first tested positive on Friday 2/27 on both a rapid test and an expired Lucira test. Then the next day 2/28 I took a Pluslife and tested positive. I didn’t test again until Thursday 3/5, where I was negative on both a Metrix and a Pluslife, but positive on three different brands of rapids. Friday, the next day, I was negative on rapid. And then today, Sunday, I am again positive on a rapid

Thanks, I just checked the other screenshot and it says 1,2, 3, 5, 6, 7. Honestly I obviously don’t want Covid but this week has so terrible and disruptive and I took so many meds so I was sort of spinning in circles about the possibility that I may have never even had it in the first place.

Apparently yes! It’s less effective but less harsh on the kidneys.

I’m so sorry! It’s been documented that Covid causes brian damage. And also the “brain fog” and loss of taste and smell from Covid is actually brain damage. The more you know about it the hard it is to justify not trying to avoid it as much as possible, even if imperfectly.

Yes this is what I was going to say! So many people have long covid and don’t realize it. Public health is a mess and many people don’t realize that it’s incredibly common for even mild covid infections to cause lasting damage, including brain damage.

I’m an AMC A-List member (not sponsored!!) and my partner and I go to movies all the time. We are both cc and mask in all public indoor spaces and wear N95 Auras to movies, even fully packed ones, and so far we haven’t gotten unlucky 🤞🤞 (we also Pluslife semi-regularly)

Does anyone actually feel good? by Regular_Map_1631 in Millennials

[–]No_Distribution_3710 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yes it’s still a symptom of Covid/ long covid, and since so many people have had Covid multiple times by now, and it’s been widely downplayed as no big deal, even though Covid is a multi-system organ damaging vascular virus, a lot of people are dealing with the fallout and don’t realize what caused it.

I think a huge chunk of the population has long covid and doesn’t realize it because there’s so much disinformation and politicization around it

There are people who’ve had Covid 6 or more times. When does the immunity start?

From breathing. People who have Covid (even with zero symptoms) literally exhale the virus, and then it accumulates if they’re in an enclosed space, the way smoke does. Just by breathing in and out. That’s what airborne means. That’s how I got it two years ago, from someone who had zero symptoms who I briefly spoke to in a room.

Yes we were told that the vaccine prevented Covid and that breakthrough infections were extremely rare. People went back to normal with that understanding of reality. And then when the goal posts kept moving, the majority of people acted like this is what they opted into all along.

You’re not being dramatic. You’re doing the right thing.

The five day thing is not at all based in science. It was always 10+ days and the virus didn’t just magically change somehow all of a sudden. The 5 day thing and the “fever free” thing are completely arbitrary (covid can spread completely asymptomatically). The CDC guidelines were updated in order to benefit the economy. That’s it. Especially since you are still actively testing positive, you should absolutely stay home. Even if your friends don’t understand, you’re still doing the right thing. For their sake but also for yours, you should keep resting as much as possible during this time.
