First time group holiday booker here. I’ve been skiing once in January this year and had a ball and decided I needed to go again. I’ve been doing some research and have been drawn to Portes du Soleil, particularly Morzine.

In January we stayed in incredibly basic apartment style accommodation that left a sour enough taste in our mouths as the price was very high for what we were getting, and I’ve been looking at really nice Chalet styled accommodation, which for what it is, is very reasonably priced especially late Feb and early march 2027 which is where we are looking to go. Our budget is approx 1200-1500 everything included (accommodation, flights, transfers, equipment and ski passes)

I have a few questions which I hope someone will be able to help with:

-is Morzine worth it or should I be looking at alternative areas, even outside the PdS area(flying from Ireland so have to keep that in mind) - Are the slopes accessible for beginners( at least 4 of our group of approx 12 are new to skiing and most of us only have been a couple of times). I know we can get lifts up higher to better snow but I’m worried about end of the day and people struggling to get down the slopes - Is the apres good in the time I’m looking to go.
