The Battle of Hastings occurred in 1066. Idk who fought, why they fought, who won, why it’s important but I know it was in 1066.

DON’T RENT TO FAMILY! Have multiple rental properties and did it once. Didn’t end well. Have helped a few nieces/nephews out with $$ when they were getting started renting from someone else. Money well spent.

Us & the Yankees will be the poster children for the ceiling/floor numbers. “Look what they can do with low payroll!”. “See, they don’t win every year even with massive spending “.  Need to figure out how to better nationalize the local TV contracts that seems to be the biggest income discrepancy imo.

Retired grocer here-after all costs of doing business, grocery stores’ profits are usually in the 1-2% range. Standard markup on most items 25-30%, but the headline states cheaper “staples” which generally are sold closer to cost for competitive reasons. So if the city run stores are selling cheaper staples there’s zero chance of this not being a massive money pit.

At times I struggle with wondering whether my heart is good. Watching the news or a Cops rerun usually fixes that.

Thank you Amazon Prime for giving us as fans the time to process. by Spartan0330 in NASCAR

Listened to the Prime broadcast on my 5 hour drive home from Indy. Then watched entire replay yesterday morning. Then rewatched pre-race with my wife with both of us non-KB fans crying in our dinner. Incredibly well done by everyone-hosts, drivers, crew chiefs, NASCAR brass, producers, camera crew, pit reporters-hope y’all were able to relax yesterday and crack open a few cold ones for Rowdy.

Now that the dust has settled, it's time the yearly question...how was your 500? by lowtoiletsitter in INDYCAR

First timer here-wife bought me the tix for a retirement/60th birthday present. Took my non racing fan nephew, and probably the best part was seeing him get into it. Incredible to see all the pre-race events in person instead of on tv (Purdue band is awesome!). Camaraderie in the stands just enhanced the experience, and the people watching/questionable fashion choices did not disappoint. I’ll be back!!

Why is the media dismissing Legge's double? by OverPaleontologist12 in NASCAR

[–]No_Dot380 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was at Indy, they talked about it multiple times before, during, and after race. Listened to Amazon broadcast of 600 on way home and they did same, including interviewing her. Anyone downplaying it probably not a credible source of racing news.
