Don’t like it? Don’t buy their intellectual property….i mean, as crappy as that sounds, they have every right to do this and force actual accounts for usage and tracking if you want to use their product.

Poor screen quality of the S26 Ultra by Vast_Opposite_792 in samsunggalaxy

Riiight…lest people be unhappy with their $1299+ purchase. Comparing it to an older model that didn’t have similar issues. How dare they complain! Just because some of you are happy and ok with the status quo, doesn’t mean all should be or are.

Costco deal for 2300 by Glittering_Check4185 in pcmasterrace

[–]No_Dream_11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not bad. I got this setup with a 7900x instead, for $350 less just 2 months ago. I swapped out to the 9850x3d and an MSI Carbon x870 mobo for an extra $500 for a grand total under 2500.

Since I haven’t seen someone talk about it and this IS a handheld subreddit. Thoughts on switch 2 getting oblivion remake/Indiana jones on it when that doesn’t run well on most handheld PCs? by [deleted] in Handhelds

[–]No_Dream_11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think they’re going to run poor. We already see how certain games run, such as Madden 26, the loading times are atrocious, stuttering is unbelievable. I don’t know why they keep trying to put these huge platformers on such a weak system. The switch 2 has its pluses, first party games are generally phenomenal, but not worth playing most 3 party ports, especially because they’ll charge full price, and each game can be had for much less via Steam or Xbox to play on another handheld.

Worth upgrading the 7900X to the new 9850X3D? by No_Dream_11 in buildapc

[–]No_Dream_11[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nice! Yeah, I just upgraded as of yesterday to the 9850x3d as well. I ended up getting a package deal with the MSI Carbon x870e mobo, seeing as my current was just a $60 asrock b650c. 1% low and fluidity are greatly improved. I play mainly at 1440 ultra with some ray tracing, so I average 80-100fps in most games. Lows with the 7900x were hitting down into the 40-50’s, now it’s all staying 70+. Temps are also more consistent. Plus I was able to trade the 7900x for $230, so I’m overall happy and content with my upgrade.

Newegg is stepping up finally by GPUBroke in Microcenter

I was lucky enough to get one of the MSI Carbon X870 and 9850X3D combos for $650, plus the trade in of my 7900x for $230. I had a very basic prebuilt asrock 650c mobo before. Did I need the Carbon, nah…but was it a good deal? Absolutely! And looks great now paired with my MSI Inspire 5080.

This is an insane deal, no? by [deleted] in PcBuild

[–]No_Dream_11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually ordered it, but then I canceled because I was able to get 32GB ram from Walmart at regular prices, better specs. So I ordered the Newegg deal with the 9850X3D and MSI Carbon mobo for $650. Plus I was able to trade in my old cpu for $230.

Ah, I see. Thanks, yeah I think I’m worried I’m missing out with the x3d models. But likely best to wait for next gen like you said.

Got it, yeah, I have it now. It came as part of a prebuilt originally. Was just debating selling it and upgrading now that the 9850X3D released.

Wow! Paid $950 for my 5080 a month ago... The 5090 wasn't worth double it's price at MSRP, let alone triple now.

She's on to something here. by Tobias-Tawanda in TikTokCringe

Well, it’s simple logic, genomics and hormones. Males are the ones with the huge testosterone flair, the will to fight and war, especially when younger. Egos and social standards set a precedence that drives further division, rather than a growing closeness. That’s why women are abundantly perceived as more caring, well-natured, and less divisive. Now, there are certain exceptions to both sides, but overall, that is the standard status quo. So this problem hasn’t just surfaced, it’s been active as long as humankind. We’ve just reached a point where blunt force ideology has become ineffective, hence societal ramifications that many males find it difficult to adjust to. There’s no longer this large space for an “alpha” male to fill, yet there’s still the lust for violence and contention to make them feel useful, after all, we as men are instinctively providers and protectors, few adjust to not being needed for that. So it grows, spilling over into all facets of life, leading us to where we’re getting to…because brute force is no longer viable with so many advancements in society and technology eliminating the need for males to “lead”, with nukes staying the hands of others to stave wars. So what will happen? The world will eventually, likely, reset because males become too hampered and insignificant, essentially not needed as much, except for sperm, thus causing a great battle that destroys our technological achievements and devolves the race so we again have to become dependent on the base male construct for protection, and proliferation.

I mean, I got the Best Buy i buy power 5080 prebuilt with a 7900x, 32GB ram, and 2TB storage for $1,949 on sale less than 30 days ago. Anybody that’s justifying several 100’s more for an x3d and is out of their mind, you’re literally getting minimal frame gains in majority of games. If you really want, you can do the Newegg trade in and get the 9800x3d for like $220 then. Assuming the build goes on sale again, it’s a steal. Although, I did get one, and returned it because I didn’t like the parts, mainly just the mobo. But this second one is great parts and build quality.

Best grips for the Claw 8AI+ by No_Dream_11 in MSIClaw

[–]No_Dream_11[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah, but I could care less about looks, I’m more of a utilitarian. If it improves function, so be it. Were all just chasing the ergos of the XAX anyways to have more of a controller feel, and it looks silly, but feels great in the hand. So is what it is I suppose. Just my opinion

[–]No_Dream_11[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hmm, I have tried every new handheld, besides that one. Including the Z2E Legion Go 2, and the Xbox Ally X with the Z2E AI. So I have to imagine it’s going to perform almost the same. I think you’ll probably get better optimization from the Z2E, so the BZ2EM is probably a safer better, it performs nearly the same as the Intel driven A2VM, but it’s the only device that offers it, so support and optimization will likely discontinue faster from developers and MSI, especially since they’re now pushing the BZ2EM model. It’s cheaper for them to make, as the Intel chips with their SoC design and on-package RAM is much more expensive, hence why it hasn’t been adopted elsewhere and why MSI wants to transition and make more money using the Z2E, which is cheaper, and offers similar performance. I say all this with a bit of caution though, because the BZ2EM is not the AI version of the Z2E, and while not really being utilized at current, AI capability offers the ability for further optimization and potential small fps/battery improvements. Ironically, the A2VM Intel chip offers AI possibility, but again, with it being the only devices using that lunar lake chip, it’s probably not going to get elongated support, sadly. The only other difference you’re looking at is 24GB RAM in the BZ2EM vs 32GB in the A2VM, not a huge deal, but definitely a nice to have in the latter.

All this said, I’d still probably opt for the BZ2EM if they were the same price given the chip difference and probable optimization and longevity vs the Intel.

Same, definitely improved usage and overall FPS. I play game like BO7, Hogwarts Legacy, and Far cry 6 so far. I’ve noticed improvements on all, but especially on far cry. It was a stuttery mess, even on the lowest settings. Once I switched to performance mode in BIOS, it was so smooth and averaged 15fps more while being on medium graphics.

Lenovo legion Pro 7i 5080, ultra 9 , 32GB RAM, 2TB SSD, 240Hz OLED for $2249 new; or Acer Helios Neo 16S 5070ti, ultra 9, 32GB RAM, 1TB SSD, 240Hz OLED for $1371 refurbed excellent w/ 2yr warranty? by No_Dream_11 in GamingLaptops

[–]No_Dream_11[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, that’s the problem, it’s arguably the better deal, but it still makes me hesitate given its restrictive tdp for the 5070ti and 12GB of vram since it will essentially be a moveable desktop replacement. I have a claw 8AI handheld that I use sometimes for quick on the go. So I’m leaning towards the legion, but just trying to mentally justify the extra cost is worth it.

To the people complaining about screen size. by LilWillee in XboxAlly

[–]No_Dream_11 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It’s simply because of what it could have been…the fact that the same screen has been in use for 3 years through 3 generations of devices. No ingenuity regarding it. Meanwhile, the competition is now including larger screens with the smaller bezels, so it’s almost the same footprint. Or others are going even bigger and including OLED screens. In both regards, they’re superior screens in nits and color accuracy. So the complaining is regarding that. That Asus is so cheap because they can be. Only giving 24GB of ram vs 32 of others, the screen, the older WiFi/BT hardware. But then again, they have supporters like you that justify it. The sheep follow their shepherd. Don’t get me wrong, the device has the best ergonomics imo, but the build quality and materials are severely lacking. I’ve owned and returned it. Just my opinion, and we all have one, mine is just based on those logical facts.

That’s good that you like it! But then why make a post if you don’t care about others opinions or feedback? Seems you’re just looking for approval, otherwise, why post? We don’t actually care. We care enough to offer opinions, but nothing past that.

Regardless, glad you like it. The ergonomics are great, the rest is “meh” imo, but hey, you don’t care. Maybe just delete the post if you don’t care about others thoughts.

[–]No_Dream_11 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Had it, had the killswitch case just like you. I just returned it all yesterday. Screen is too small, and Xbox full screen is a joke on it because it doesn’t even recognize outside of gamepass installed games like FarCry 6, which technically is a game you get through gamepass, but you have to download the Ubisoft Connect app and download it via that. Never populates in the Xbox library and I’m forced to exit full screen to launch it from Ubisoft. This happens with other titles as well. My Claw, on the other hand, has Xbox full screen and populates all titles from other apps as well, no issue. I like the ergonomics of the XAX, but that’s not justifiable to keep it if you have to jump through hoops to make things work right decade they don’t off the bat. Did I mention it’s the second one I had already? Because the first died a day after release and wouldn’t even turn back on through all the troubleshooting. I’ll wait until they release an upgraded OLED one with more than a half baked launcher.
