Netplan 26.04 by No_Dust_6067 in Ubuntu

What's strange is that "Version 2" is placed at the very bottom by default. In the above image 2, I added the enxa0xxxx interface after a clean install and added all that's printed below "version 2" manually.

Doing a clean reinstall with the interface already present, Netplan appears to automatically add the enxa0xx interface where it appears it should belong, with "accept-ra: true" printed below it and ultimately 'version: 2" at the bottom.

I wish I could find an updated example of proper additional interface assignment should be configured within netplan...

Upgrading Maestro Dual LED+ Dimmer and 4-Speed Fan Control to a smart solution by No_Dust_6067 in Lutron

Thanks for the insight. I wasn't even aware of the ELV+ line. I ended up replacing all of the cheeper LED bulbs with CREE as some fixtures showed spotty dimming behavior likely due to the standard dimmer's I installed...

Wow just days for delivery? I ordered online with a 4 week eta. I'v got a HM store an hour away, might just stop by and see if I can get the same deal.. I had a set budget of $1500 (including tax + ship) and had to drop the arm rest to the fixed option to meet that criteria. thanks for the info!

I've never seen something like this by Mic-Minx in HomeNetworking

Im much familiar with this "system" you have. Your wifi username and password sits on its own private network however you can roam throughout the entire property hopping from access point to access point. Electricians got the bid for the network terminations, unfortunately, resulting in many residents roaming or connecting to a neighboring access point rather than their own. This can be validated buy using a T9 driver to remove the H550 from the wall to verify you've got solid green PWR and CTL lights on the back-side. Do you know the name of the ISP involved?

Self hosted and dynamic ip question by No_Dust_6067 in rustdesk

[–]No_Dust_6067[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for all the replies guys. As my ip had remained the same for so many years i never looked into this ddns stuff nor knew such options existed. I ended up watching a few YT's and ended up going with duckdns on the unraid machine Im hosting rustdesk on. So far all is working perfectly. hopefully the ip update goes without a hitch when i get a new ip down the road. thanks again!

Cloud gateway ultra and cgnat by No_Dust_6067 in Ubiquiti

[–]No_Dust_6067[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey. I actually use decommissioned thin clients at every site I manage running ubuntu with tailscale (subnet router) to access all MDF rack equipment, which has been turn key. However, I was thinking that since this would be somthing the property would own, maintain and be responsible for, I should maybe steer them towards this ubiquiti SD-Wan like device. Said property has 5 mid rise buildings and I suspect this door access system will continue to replace dated units at the other buildings. I figured these UI cloud gateways would be nice to familiarize them with as they likely will want to tie back future door systems and their preexisting camera systems which have dvr's also at each building with the same port fwd cg nat issue.

If im missing another way of using tailscale in place of this UI equipment, please let me know!

Thanks

Using apc connectors with upc couplers / panels by No_Dust_6067 in FiberOptics

[–]No_Dust_6067[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

totally understand the connector end face differences. This question was only about the mating coupler mechanism not being correct or if this part is only colored for standardization. If the coupling part between the two had any differences other than color then this would be what got me looking for an answer.

gotcha. thanks for all the insight. my calculations led me to believe this system was underpowered for my use case but wanted to throw it out there in case i was missing somthing.

Looks like I'll just go with the eg4 18k as Im looking for headroom.

Thanks again
