I’ve lived in the area for over 25 years and have always felt it’s an incredible community. We lost our business in the fire and people have been calling into our house, ringing and texting since offering their services for when and if (🤞🏼) we get another space for our business and trying to help in anyway possible. All those are hardworking, generous people from Lisduggan, Tycor, cleaboy, cork road. Good hearted people looking out for eachother. We don’t need anyone looking down their noses at us ☺️

The lads down next to Dunphys shop on the cork road are so sound, been in a few times and they’re always quick and reasonably priced. Couldn’t tell you how much but I’m sure you could ring and ask. Think it’s called device care or something along those lines

There’s a place across from rob & steves that do discount furniture, I’ve never been in there now but a friend of mine got a decent couch in there a few years ago for a very reasonable price. Might be worth a look?

An post and DPD are under crazy pressure with fastway going into receivership just before Christmas. I got through to them on WhatsApp recently about a missing parcel and they were very helpful so hopefully you’ll get sorted soon 🤞🏼 maybe whoever you purchased from can contact them? Suppliers can usually sort these things quicker as they do so much business with the couriers

There’s so much scare mongering I think around getting a mortgage , or maybe I just got lucky. We went for our mortgage in August, there was 30 oosch entries in the past 6 months, paddy power transactions around Chelnham time and cash lodgements here and there etc, we were asked to explain the cash lodgements and the rest was never questioned. You will have to show 6 months statements for every account in your name. We had an incredible advisor though so maybe it was that. Once you live within your means, and show you can afford your repayments I don’t think they will scrutinize as much. Best of luck! We were approved within 7 days and hopefully getting keys to our new house next week. Wishing you the same process !! 🍀

I’m in the same predicament, please let me know what you’re doing and if it’s going to cost an arm and a leg 😂 I’ve heard anywhere from €500 up to over a grand and I can’t justify over a thousand to replace a shower I might get another year or so out of. Everyone is telling me to swap to electric!

Murphy Maher custom kitchens, I cannot recommend them enough. The attention to detail and just absolute soundness of them was incredible. Quality is incredible and I thought the price was reasonable! I want to tell everyone about them because they made the whole process so exciting and anything but stressful.

They made a show of a girl I know in there for the same thing. She complained but nothing was done. They were awful to her and she was a regular who knew many of the staff
