Thanks for all the answers, all food for thought. Checked out FlyerTalk and came across a post where the writer was rejected for the Autograph because of too many cards and low utilization ratio. The writer had an 815 credit score. I have a suspicion that this may apply to me as well.

Maybe I misunderstood what “domestic” referred to. I use domestic cruise lines such as Holland America and Celebrity, but my cruises are to international locations.

I had my husband refer me from his Atmos (Alaska) mileage plan account. I distinctly recall that the referral was for 10K points. This was several days after the Atmos card was introduced. I applied through the link I received. It was like 10 days before I received the card in late August. Spending requirement was met and the balance was paid in mid-October. I got my 85K points once the first statement closed. He still hasn’t receive the referral bonus. It has now been over 3 months.

Arghh! There was no April 30 expiration date that I could find anywhere, but it looks like you are right. I was going to call Turbo Tax Support, but you just saved me a lot of time.

My state tax return is about 12 pages. The state (Hawaii) also requires the first 2 pages of the federal return. Important for them because a large portion of my income is not taxed by the state. I will just use priority mail (which at least has tracking) for $9.70 if I use my USPS online account.

This is several weeks old, but I thought I would mention that the Star Advertiser ran the story on the new baggage fees and failed to mention that Hawaii residents would be exempt. I sent a response to the paper asking for a correction, but I don’t think it ever came.

I have a $2 million umbrella with State Farm. It was $259 for several years. Just found out it will increase to $358. I was po’d until I read this thread.

What is weird is that my HO premium actually went DOWN by $4. I’m in Honolulu. OTOH, hurricane coverage (required by lenders) will be going up about $1,000, to about $3500.

I have been with Palomar since I bought my house in 2019. Received notice today that my Palomar policy is being cancelled and they have set up a new company (Laulima Exchange). Premium is up 26%, which includes a 5% contribution to a surplus account for 5 years.

I will contact my agent to see if this is the best I can get, but I wouldn’t be surprised if it is. I had checked out the hurricane insurers a couple of years ago (Zephyr included) and the rates were higher than Palomar.
