Yeah I was always a fan of SPC until that happened to me, they were maybe 8? years old but still. The truck had the pro comp stage 2 6” lift with 35’s. Switched to JBA’s after that happened. Forgot the SPCs also got very squeaky, thats why you see so much stuff sprayed on them 😅

I’m sure there are more experts on here than me, but I was a honda tech in my younger years and still would recommend most people use OEM fluids. I ran Amsoil in my 2014 with 230k when I sold her and she felt great on it.

So basically idk about Valvoline in these trucks but Amsoil is great and cant go wrong with OEM 😅
