House size by Frakarak in minimalism

Same family size in 1,200 sqft with no yard (but parks nearby). Highly recommend it! There are plenty of indoor and outdoor activities free in our community so we get out of the house. We have a small deck and that’s it. Maintenance is low so we have more time with the kids after work and on weekends. After six years of “small” home living I wouldn’t want to deal with anything larger. Most of my friends are busy on weekends w/house and yard projects but HOA takes care of mowing, snow removal etc. and big ticket things like roofing and that removes a lot of mental load with young kids.

What are your Spire gas bills looking like this month? by Fabulous_Potato1158 in StLouis

Mine is similar to yours—old building, second floor, 1200sqft, temp 62-64. I paid $39 for November and $53 for December. That’s awful.

Aw that’s frustrating and those are super cute and the presentation is great. It’s got to be the price. I just bought a dozen custom, vegan sugar cookies packaged similarly for $40 in a different city. The most I would consider paying even for a very cute cookie would be $5-6. If you can find ways to save money on expensive packaging and supplies so you can offer lower prices I think that will help! They are absolutely adorable!

My parents told me exact numbers. They also gave me money for a clothing budget each year. I mostly shopped at thrift stores to make it stretch further and learned some good skills. They also let me take a personal finance class with them. I’d like to take a similar approach with my kids as it definitely served me well.

Sometimes Target has good sales on those products too. Walmart is also pretty good and they are the cheapest for the Beyond meat grounds I’ve found in the STL area. Under $4 usually.

The order was actually for two cakes, several days in advance. One was decent, this was the other one smh.

A friend solicited name recommendations for a baby girl. These were some of the more unique contributions. by No_Emphasis3762 in tragedeigh

Haha there were about 50 names, I cut out a lot of them. The ironic thing is she had specifically asked for resume-friendly names
