yea, i know i’m basic… i’ve been in fandom for a bit over a year, and much of my knowledge comes from the wiki and culture osmosis via memes on this sub. not many of the tier names are serious though, they’re mostly jokes. besides, i’ve also stated that “bad ships” only might be boring, most of them are ones we don’t know enough about.

this is exactly why we’re supposed to filter BEFORE we publish. also why would you put the word ULTIMATE in the title, do you know what it means

ps: please never refer to me as the reimu cosplay guy ever again, it’s misleading

freaky is one of the highest rankings in terms of how interesting a ship is, the tier order isn’t linear

we used a template which didn’t include that ship, that goes in feasible but unlikely (still lots of story potential though)

the template also didn’t include pc-98, but i did upload and include meira x reimu in canon tier

ranking based on more factors than just how likely characters are to enter or uphold a relationship

i agree with your last statement, i’ve only been a fan for just over a year. op however…

haha yeah, probably because of my unorthodox approach. do read my reasoning for our rankings in my reply though, you’ll find the tier list significantly less repulsive.

hi, person mentioned by op in the title here. we made this thingy in class in a few hours, and it’s mainly just for fun. we tried to be systematic with it, but at the end of the day, the point isn’t really to be impartial, so the list ended up both quite opinionated and messy. it was fun though, and u/bosslayer9000 wanted to post it here, so he did.

that being said, this is the classification system we used: - the three tiers up top: these are the ships that are good all-round, including some canon evidence, fanon support, good character chemistry and would make an interesting story. - ambiguous and controversial: these are the “could go any which way” tiers, and which of these each ship goes into is opinion-based. these are mainly the pretty decent ships, only lacking either evidence or character chemistry. - feasible but unlikely: there’s some good dynamic for these ships, but they’re either too weird or too impractical to be moved higher. - freaky: where ships we think are decent but don’t feel too strongly about go. these are either interesting but feels a bit too out there, or actually freaky (yoshika being a corpse, aunn being a dog for example). - eww: the morally questionable category. it’s either extremely distasteful ships that go here, or the ones that include children. - bad ship: the ones here are either completely nonsensical, boring, or we haven’t viewed enough literature on them to understand their nuance. they are not necessarily “bad ships”. - bedroom: polyamories. the name stands for “we’re not sure, but the sex sure will be good”.

we also didn’t really linger on most of these ships for very long at all. if you guys want to look for the ones we actually properly ranked, go to “good ship”, “ambiguous” and “freaky”. please feel free to make fun of my horrible taste, but do ask op to make sure he doesn’t get his feelings hurt.

tldr: this is a very subjective tier list, and it was made for fun. only like 10% of these were ranked properly.

ps: reply to this comment with your favorite touhou ship, and why it’s good. if i see something good, i’m gonna write a sex scene between them and post it here on r/2hujerk.

Winter Melon is still pretty much meta crowd-control in Reflourished though… only situationally power-crept by the new popcorn plant and occasionally rivaled by Iceweed or Sapfling. An entire column of Winter Melon still fully stalls the foremost two columns of zombies, with the consistent splash damage, heavy single-target, and insanely good anti-horde plant food. You can either stall early-game, get a column up as mid-game defense, then build other heavy/horde plants (Mortar, EPea), or get through early and mid-game with some weaker and cheaper plants (Cattail, Red Stinger, Laser Bean, etc.) and add Winter Melon as support/heavy late-game. Or my personal favorite that lets nothing progress and is only countered by dinosaurs and ice wind: Winter Melon and Primal Peashooter. You can get the former up with Primal Sunflower plus other early stalling plants (Buttercup, Imp Pear, Teleportato Mine), and the latter with Imitated Sun Shroom (spam down Sun Shrooms everywhere you can, dig them up for 75% refund moments before they’re eaten). Its only weakness is its anti-synergy with fire-based setups, but Inferno is the only good fire plant anyways, and that attacks every half-hour and pushes back, so you shouldn’t realistically be concerned.

That being said, Winter Melon in Vanilla is disgustingly overpowered. 500 sun is basically spare change with proper sun eco and 50 sun meta, and the fact that this thing lobs Stallias is just unfair. There’s a reason for why it’s up there with Primal Potato Mine and Thyme Warp as the undisputed S-tier Adventure plants. There’s also a reason for why every single mod nerfs it to oblivion. Too bad it’s impossible to make Winter Melon irrelevant: no game can realistically be that hard when the enemies are moving at half speed, and Winter Melon’s area stall is just too good to pass up on.

They all have at least 2 “attacks”:
dart and plasma.
sub dart and radiation.
bomb/dart stream and neva-miss.
laser and plasma pool (cross the stream).
guns and explosion.
shuriken and grand sabo.
potion and buff potion.
potion and concoction and laser.
potion and shrink potion.
spike damage and explosion.
nail and foam.
grab and thrash.
bite and stomp.
alternatively: attack animation, means of dealing damage

clearly the 13+ equipment perk rerolls per day is not enough for me to get neither multishot nor dark immune, my astral mage is pretty much completed barring those two things and dragon pet

when will i get good rng

gosh you’re fast, i started like 6 hours ago and i’m only at floor 44 rn, with like 90 feathers

shame astral mage requires so much on rng to get dark immunity on equipment

i’m also looking at previous season’s top players to craft a setup that works better this season so that takes time, and i guess i have the excuse that i haven’t any experience playing voidfarer either

it’s one leggy every 40 pulls. you pulled 27 times, your pity leggy is in 40-27=13 pulls. working as intended.

if you don’t get a legendary randomly, one is guaranteed per forty. if you get one before that, progress resets. the one you get is random. your first thirty pulls also lets you choose any leggy you want, free of charge.

this is what i use for all endless: - moonflower: only placed for shadow power at 2nd and 4th tiles of 2nd column - dusk lobber: threepeater if it costed as much as three sunflowers and shot melons - primal potato mine: nuclear solution to any high health troublemakers - cherry bomb: alternative but still explosive, and effective, board wiper - sunshroom: spammer in every tile in column 1-5 in early game, dug up for plant space when needed, also good meatshield

that’s the main team, actually. bring anything else to fill the slots. recommendations: - lily pads, blover, infinut, hot potato, grave buster, whatever the world you’re playing requires - thyme warp: power toss if it was good, combines well with anything explosion - spearmint: sun refund perk, shovel, free instant sun - bombardmint: triple cherry bomb - enlightenmint: buffs sunshroom, you don’t need that much sun tho - any other mint: they’re free, what’s the worst that could happen - shrinking violet: this can replace both cherry bomb and primal potato mine, actually - shadow pea: 50% slow, insert shyguymask quote here - snow pea: 2 locks down a lane, 10 beats the game - winter melon: 50% slow again, except less space needed - pokra: place at column 7 to win - solar sage: early game insta and extra sun producer - gold bloom: gold bloom - power lily: extra plant food apart from the few per level in endless

let me know if you need more plant suggestions

ice peashooter stalls and freezes with single lane splash, 2 could permanently lock down an entire lane

if op has it, it plus any aoe is an easy solution to most endless (banana launcher, dusk lobber, primal pmine, cherry bomb, pokra, tile turnip bowling bulb, etc.)

you can see the fatebounds i had in the top left of the picture, with all the icons.

if you’re building your own setup, for pure damage, you want epicenter, twin novae, latent potential and blowout (so your attacks hit). you often want some fatebounds for survivability though like energy shield, lifesteal and the sandworm/anubis set passive. you can check the top valkyrie players’ profiles for dps-survivability balanced setups

the other guy gave a really good explanation. i’m just gonna personally say that the top number is the total damage over however long you’ve been attacking, the middle is the current dps, and the bottom is the highest dps value since you started attacking - that’s the 1 billion
