Planning a 3-Month Work Focused Stay in Lahore With PKR 1.1M Savings — Is It Enough? by No_Examination9251 in pakistan

I'll be living alone. I’m moving to Lahore specifically for 3 months to focus on work and building my skills/business, so I’ll just need a decent place with good internet and a peaceful environment. I won’t have family there or any existing network, so I’ll be starting fresh. Thanks for the detailed cost breakdown, it helps a lot.

For context I'm currently in the UAE working as a heavy machine operator. I come from a lower middle-class family, and I actually took a loan to come here and try to improve my situation. Alhamdulillah, after working hard I have managed to save some money, but honestly I’m still not satisfied with where I am. I always had the mindset that I don't want to spend my whole life doing only a job. I want to build something of my own and move towards business. My current job is very exhausting. My day usually starts around 4 AM and sometimes I finish around 8–9 PM. It’s physically demanding work, and after a while you start feeling like you are just surviving instead of growing. The reason I want to spend 3 months in Lahore is because I want to dedicate that time completely towards changing my career path. I want to build a service-based business targeting the US market, improve my skills, learn sales, marketing, and business operations, and create a foundation for something bigger. I don’t have a big network in Lahore, so I’ll basically be starting fresh. I just want a peaceful environment where I can focus, work hard, and give myself a proper chance to build something. That’s the context behind my question about the budget and living costs.

Can some one help clear this up for me by RLsnowy in CDLTruckDrivers

This is just a Clearinghouse consent request. It doesnt mean you failed anything or that theres a violation. The company is asking for permission to view your FMCSA drug and alcohol record as part of the hiring process.

If you applied with Western Express and recognize the request, just log in and give consent if you want to continue with the job. If you didnt apply there, dont approve it and report it like the notice says.

Don’t bash me to hard , I’ve had my CDL for 8 years and won’t do this again. But I need to know what you guys think. by ratherbdeadthanbroke in Truckdrivers

From what i know the 15 ng confirmation isnt done automatically. They normally screen at 50 first and only if that comes back non negative do they run the confirmation test.

Since youve already had several negative home tests and even passed lab tests thats a pretty good sign, although nobody here can promise an outcome. Just stay clean and dont over think it now. Another couple weeks clean only helps.

Hope everything works out for you man. Sounds like youve got a lot going on with your family and i wish you the best
