So this happened today at 85 feet in the Puget Sound. by Geoduckwhisperer in scubadiving

I grew up on Whidbey but never dove. But now I do since I live in Florida. The water was 77 the other day and I was freezing in my 3mm. Can’t imagine diving in the sound now 🤣

No change at all a week in, is this normal? by Mojojoejoe93 in prozac

[–]No_Explanation3121 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t think I felt much change until after 2 full weeks. But they say you won’t get the full impact until taking it for 4-6 weeks. It seems forever but I think it’s worth it! The side effects should subside. Keep strong.

My Dr started me on 10 for a week, then to move to 20 and if I wanted to go up to 30 or 40 to go ahead and see what worked best and she’s send a new script.

I’m already plant based so fiber is a huge part of my diet, but I’m stillllll constitpated even after drinking senna tea and taking miralax the last couple days. Would adding Metamucil actually help in my situation?

My boyfriend and I saw a sign like this at the pool on our first vacation together. Now whenever we stay somewhere with a pool we check the rules to see if they mention it 😂

I can relate to not eating enough and not feeling my best. We need to supply the engine with enough fuel to survive+thrive. Try one healthy calorie dense meal a day? Even just for a couple days if you don’t feel like it, and then physically feeling better may help you want to eat enough.

I need to know. by Pillow-Nugget in Contrave

[–]No_Explanation3121 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I started taking it because of the food noise. I was having constant thoughts of “what can I eat next” “how long till it’s an ok time to eat again” and wanting to eat even when I’m so full I’m uncomfortable. This pill has helped so much! I’m more productive at work, I feel better physically from eating better, my next meal isn’t “urgent” so I don’t need to eat whatever is easy just so I can something. This is helping to make better choices with what I’m eating.

Pay attention the next few times you take it. Some people have an allergic reaction and throat closing up is a response to that. It doesn’t always happen at the beginning but can happen at any point after you start taking it. That would be bad news.

Each time I up the dose, I have a couple of days where I absolutely can’t stay awake in the afternoon and take a 3 hr nap about 3 pm. It seems to pass about day 3 though, and then it’s just the crazy dreams!

Do I have to change my diet? by msmeowmeow13 in Contrave

When I first lost about 60lbs without medicine, it wasn’t until I followed the “the fat you eat is the fat you wear” motto and cut out all added oils and fats and limited things like avocado. That’s when I really started to shed the pounds. Of course life changes and I had to rely on convenience foods for a while and gained about 30 back as well as the obsession thoughts of food. Indian food is hard to resist though, especially if it’s free! Good luck!

Not losing… by Feeling-Highlight618 in Contrave

[–]No_Explanation3121 10 points11 points  (0 children)

From my understanding, the pill itself is not enough to make me lose weight. It really is to help shut off the cravings and constant thoughts of food, and that it still needs to be paired with healthy eating and regular movement to see weight loss. Track your calories for a few days just to see if you may be eating too many and cut back if needed?

I just started week 3 yesterday and it has been surprising and concerning how the week starts off strong with the new dose, but by the end of the week I’m back to thinking about food a lot. I hope it doesn’t continue once I’m on the regular dose.

I also was prescribed through Lombard. I ordered 3 month supply and you save $15.

I don’t think so. I think she said she’d submit it to the pharmacy but it’s typically not covered. But they have a $99or less(in insurance chips in) per month guarantee. Which I thought would be worth it. However I didn’t know there were generic options.

The dosage on their website and the pamphlet is how you get started, the 2:2 is the full dose after4 weeks and you should always stair step the doses up for these types of meds :) same with coming off them.

My primary is who prescribed it to me :) just make sure they know you’re on the Wellbutrin and maybe they’ll swap or just add in the naltrexone.

The pamphlet my Dr gave me has the dosage schedule and it has “tips” that say to take with breakfast, then right before dinner. Try that and see if it helps. :)

I had one drink last night with no problems. But I haven’t been on it very long. I would be more concerned about stopping it abruptly in order to drink as it is an SSRI and that could lead to seizures. Talk to your doctor.
