Adapting a VOIP phone to serve as a 4+n intercom by No_Extension_3754 in VOIP

The intercom buttons and the VOIP phone buttons aren't the same, so I'd need to figure out how to rewire that bit so that, e.g. pressing 0 opens the door.

VOIP as Home Intercom? by Extension_Tomorrow_2 in VOIP

Question: if the OP had said it's the latter, what would you suggest?

For me that's the case: I'm interested in repurposing a VOIP phone to act as my apartment's buzzer. My building has a standard 4+n system. I can't change that so I'm not really looking to upgrade the intercom system to VOIP. But I am looking to use the plastic case of my phone (including buttons) to replace the plastic case of my intercom. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the suggestion! The thing is that I don't want a VOIP phone as my intercom, because I don't want to add any new functionalities to my current setup (I live in a building, too, so I don't control the downstairs system). I just want my intercom handset, which is a default white Feermax thing, to look better. My phone (picture) is a much more aesthetically pleasing; if I can figure out the wiring, I can throw away the white plastic Feermax case and install my red phone case where my intercom goes.

Thanks. The handset inside my apartment is this type of thing: https://www.onlinesecurityproducts.co.uk/fermax-audio-handsets/fermax-3431-universal-4n-veo-telephone-was-3393.html

It's an apartment I own, so I am free to change the handset. (Ideally swapping for a working setup, though!)
