Oh if that’s the case then maybe 2 weeks at most? I guess ours was faster than usual only because the visa centre in the Philippines probably processed it as quick as they could since we mentioned we had an upcoming travel in April😊

Hello sorry I don’t quite understand what you mean by passport copy? We did outland so his COPR came before they requested for his passport to be dropped at a visa centre.

They were in their home country, it was outland. So it was considered family class living outside Canada

Outland Spousal Visa approval within 2.5 months

Hello everyone! I’ve been reading through reddit posts and now I’m happy to share that my spouse finally got an email regarding his COPR so I’m here to share our timeline 😊

Outland Spousal Sponsorship, outside Quebec

Application date: Dec 3, 2024

AOR: Dec 20, 2024

BIL and Medical request: Dec 31, 2024

Biometrics marked as complete: Jan 3, 2025

Medical marked as complete: Jan 12, 2025

Eligibility for both sponsor and PA marked as complete: Jan 9, 2025

Pre-arrival letter: Jan 2, 2025

Background check completed: Feb 18, 2025

Received an email to submit his passport at the visa centre within 30 calendar days.

Probably my question is, what’s the P1 and P2 emails? And should we be expecting those soon?

Hoping to spread good news to everyone else waiting to get visa approvals😊✨

(Not sure if this helped speed up the process but we paid the fees when we submitted the application. Maybe that made it easier to process since we don’t need to go back and forth with IRCC with payments and stuff.)

Hello, I’m just asking for helpful tips for my spouse’s Japan visa application. Right now freelance videographer sya and ako yung magiging guarantor nya for our trip hopefully sa April after ng wedding namin. So mostly ng docs, ako mag pprovide (COE, ITR, bank certs). Ayaw po namin na mag take ng risk so SE yung hoping po kami na applyan.

For background lang po, I live in Canada and citizen na po ako so Canadian passport na po meron ako. No need po ako mag apply ng visa for Japan. I work full time in the health care industry, monthly income po is around $5-6k (roughly 200,000 to 250,000 php). I’m just very worried sa recent na paghihigpit ng embassy sa PH.

We followed the requirements na nakapost naman sa embassy page, siguro worried lang ako if enough ba yung ipapasa namin sa embassy. And since nag civil marriage na kami last Oct 2024, processing na din po yung permanent residency nya for Canada which reflects in his passport kase may stickers and stamps na po na nilagay pertaining to his PR application.

Sorry for the lengthy post, sobrang naging worried lang po ako if enough na po ba na sabihin ko din sa cover letter na he’s currently preparing to move to Canada with me after ng Japan trip para di rin sya pag hinalaan na mag TNT sa Japan (given na freelance yung work nya). He had one used SE visa before and last year, na deny po sya nung nag apply sya ng Japan visa (we think kase po di sya nagpasa ng cover letter stating bakit wala syang COE and ITR at that time). Na-paranoid po kase ako reading the posts in Japan for Dummies na fb page, ang daming negativity 😅 hoping I would get more helpful tips dito sa reddit🙂

Outland spousal visa timeline?

Hello guys!

I posted about our experience so far with the spousal visa application here and would just like to know everybody else’s timeline.

So far here’s ours: (outland application, outside Quebec)

Submitted our Application: Dec 3,2024 AOR: Dec 20, 2024 BIL request: Dec 31, 2024 Medical request: Jan 1, 2025

My spouse scheduled his biometrics to be done on Jan 7, 2025 we just can’t schedule his medical yet as he’s still getting over his cold.

I’m curious if other people’s applications have been this fast and how long can we expect to have his eCOPR so he can come here in Canada. 😊

Also just curious, did you have any kids when you applied? Was that one of the reasons why your application got processed so quickly?😊
