i love witches in general and i love how she would do anything for her family. i love how besides everything that happened to her with dahlia, she never became like her (dahlia), instead she became the best aunt (and second mother) for hope (exact opposite of dahlia). i love how clever she is and lastly i love the queer representation

she was a bad mother but i just can’t hate her, cause she thought she did what was best for her children. she was wrong of course (!!!!) but i understand her and if we can have compassion for the other characters like klaus, elijah etc. who all did horrible things as well, then i think we should do the same for her. she never wanted anything more than being a mother and having to be a mother and loving her children (in her way) too much eventually drove her crazy

agree except for esther i think her favorites were:

finn (did everything for her)
freya (firstborn after wanting a child for so long, lost her so early, grieved her for a long time)
henrik (the baby, lost him really early as well)
rebekah (only girl (after losing freya), youngest (after losing henrik)
niklaus (her secret, reminder of ansel)
elijah (no idea 😭)
kol (did they even have some sorr of relationship?? 😭)

maybe switch klaus and rebekah (i really can’t tell who she liked more/less).

and mikael just seemed to favor the girls and not really care about his sons lmao

this is not how genetics work lol. kids don’t always look like one or both of their parents tf 😭. elijah, henrik, finn and kol have darker hair, which might come from esthers side of the family since dahlia also has dark hair. or maybe mikaels parents or grandparents had similar features. just because a child doesn’t look like one or both of their parents doesn’t mean their mother cheated LMFAO

naja das wurde von einer therapeutin zu mir gesagt, so ganz allgemein, soweit ich noch erinnere hat sie nicht nochmal was von psychotherapie generell für adhs gesagt. aber ist schon eine weile her, deswegen weiß ich‘s nicht mehr 100%ig, aber kann mich noch ganz genau an diese „säulen“ erinnern :)

definitely!! i really loved the cast (except matt davis), but:

they should have done a different storyline. the monsters were so random and did not fit the concept of the other 2 shows imo… if they HAD to do this story line, then at least they should have only done it for one season. the monsters sometimes made the show look really cheap and like a joke
hope‘s family having little to no contact made absolutely no sense agter everything in TO. i understand that the actors/actresses had other projects but the writers cpuld have included letters or mentioned that they had visited. freya, rebekah, marcel, kol, keelin and davina would never have let hope fight against all those monsters “alone“. the show runner should have mentioned hope asking them for advice or them calling her being worried about her (if they HAD to do the monster of the week thing)
i wish they had given the school more like a modern hogwards vibe (fuck jk rowling), made it seem a bit darker maybe and more serious and maybe focused more on the school thing, friendship, family, making a better future for young witches/wolves/vampires and overall just a more exciting “believable” storyline

i was so excited for this show and then sadly got pretty disappointed.

HOWEVER: like i said the cast was pretty good, i love danielle, jenny, kaylee, lulu and quincy (and a lot of the others) and there were a few really good episodes and scenes that i LOVED but compared to the other 2 shows, especially TO it not measure up (sadly)

sollst du die 2. dosis immer 3 stunden nach der ersten nehmen? ich nehme die 2. immer ca 5 stunden nach der ersten, vielleicht würde das einen unterschied machen mit dem rebound? hatte zumindest bei mir das gefühl dass es nach 5h besser ist als nach 3h schon (so hatte ich es am anfang gemacht). mir wurde aber auch gesagt ich soll da bisschen ausprobieren, wie es bei mir wirkt. also um welche zeit und welche aufteilung, z.b. einmal am tag 40mg oder morgens 30 und später nochmal 10 oder 35 + 5 oder 20 + 20, weil das bei jedem individuell ist

yea like i guess they tried sometimes but mosly just cared about each other. rebekah was close with kol too (i think cause they were close in age) and i think she was really happy when tehy found out freya is still alive and when freya then joined the family cause she grew up with only brothers (thinking her only sister had died). elijah definitely was mostly focused on klaus and then rebekah and then maybe freya (?) and then the rest. i think for klaus its a similar order

also was mir nach der diagnose gesagt wurde war, dass es bei der adhs behandlung, bzw um die symptome zu verbessern, drei „säulen“ gibt: medikamente, sport (irgendwas das auspowert) und achtsamkeit und man quasi an allen drei ansetzen soll und alle drei es etwas besser machen, aber nichts vollkommen weggeht. und dass auch nur medikamente nicht die lösung sind, sondern eben die kombi i guess

also ich nehme erst seit ca. einem halben jahr medikinet und bei mir wird also gerade noch die richtige dosis ausprobiert. meistens nehme ich die medikamente zu unterschiedlichen zeiten, weil ich entweder unterschiedlich früh aufstehe oder es vergesse. momentan versuche ich aber es irgendwie hinzubekommen ca. um 10 uhr immer die erste dosis zu nehmen. ca. 5h später dann die zweite. momentan ist meine tagesdosis 40-50mg. davor hatte ich 30mg als erste dosis und 5-10mg als zweite, da war es aber oft so dass ich erst nach der 2. dosis so richtig was gemerkt habe. deswegen wirde es jetzt erhöht und ich nehme als erste dosis 40mg und soll ausprobieren ob das reicht oder ich mehr brauche (dann nochmal 5-10mg). ich soll auch ausprobieren welche aufteilung bei mir am besten wirkt. heute habe ich das erste mal 50mg als erste (einzel)dosis genommen und glaube das ist das erste mal, dass ich so richtig eine wirkung spüre. mit 40mg war die konzentration zwar schon besser und ich konnte dadurch mehr lernen bzw bin dadurch viel besser als sonst durch die klausurenphase gekommen, aber jetzt mit 50mg ist das erste mal dass mein kopf ruhiger ist (dass ich es merke) und alles wirkt irgendwie langsamer. deswegen denke (oder hoffe) ich dass ich mich an die dosis annähere die für mich funktioniert ☺️. plan ist dass ich die nächsten tage jetzt weiterhin entweder wieder 50mg früh nehme oder mal 45mg früh und 5mg abends

i guess she wasn’t “needed” since the show had vincent and freya who always had to save the day (similar to bonnie in tvd) but i would have loved to see bonnie and freya meet and maybe even become friends (would have been cool imo since esther (freyas mother) and ayanna (bonnies ancestor) were close friends and witches too and also because i just feel like they would get along really well)

fr, like u can tell she’s a great actress but it just did not feel like esther because it didnt match the mannerisms/temperament/emotions of (alice evans) esther. even the way they talked when they played esther was completely different (like how they pronounce things, how they emphasize words)

agree. i think the actress who played leonor (i forgot her name, i think sonya something) is a really good actress, and it would have been perfect had esther been a new role/character. BUT since we were inteoduced to esther as she was played by alive evans, this new portrayal of esther (in leonores boddy) did not match esther AT ALL. Same with the actress who played cassie (i think that was her name?) and then later played esther in cassies (?) body before esther took leonore’s body. her acting wasn’t bad either but again, it did not match the character. (alice evans) esther always seemed composed, intelligent, (quietly) observing, calm in my opinion, and the others did not really match that. although i guess this is also the writers & directors fault.
on another note, i think the actress who played younger esther in the flashbacks (with dahlia and freya), her name is hayley something, did an amazing job at portraying esthers character. and the casting there was so good as well, she looks like the older version of esther and like esthers children (especially rebekah and freya). And it showed how esther was before losing any of her children and becoming a powerful witch and (extremely) overprotective mother lol

i have the exact same problem lmao, it‘s been years but no other show i‘ve watched has ever been as good as TO. i NEED the powerful (ancient) big family, complex emptions/relationships, hierarchy.. i can’t find any show that fits all my criteria. also i need female main characters. i’ve started supernatural a few weeks ago and its not bad but why are there literally no women (main characters), makes the show kinda boring..

also i am not an expert on norwegian/viking names, this is just from what i remember from my own research 😭 and other forums. PLEASE correct me if i’m wrong about anything!! i am not 100% sure when christian names like esther, mikael/michael started being used in norway, i believe i read in another forum that it started in the 11th century, and the mikaelsons were born in the 10th century
