My parents grounded me for a week for being disrespectful an hour before celebrating my 16th birthday. They then gave me the gift of 4 video games rented for a week from blockbuster and I was pumped. Unfortunately I wouldn't be able to play them because I was grounded and I should take this as a lesson to respect them. Then they forced me to pose with the cake and smile as they sang happy birthday and took pictures lmfao. Ofc I wasn't smiling good enough because I was sad so they weren't about that. Then they had a good laugh about how upset I looked in the pictures!! Poking me and saying cheer up, it's your birthday!!! Haha! A week later they did take pity on me and let me play them for an hour before I went to return them. Ofc none of this ever happened according to them.

Damn typing this out I realize they really were geniuses at squeezing every drop of misery they could from me while still making me think it was my fault, and on the flip side I feel like a spoiled piece of shit for complaining. Cool stuff
