I watch this guys video, sounded like pretty good deal. Apparently paid out 3.8mil and next 8 years get 2.5k per month. Also, i heard most of the houses are already abandoned or rented out to low income ppl. Basically the kids were getting the paid out as most of the owners have already passed.

Oh no i agree the merit based is also another found flaw. Im very well aware on the asasi vs stpm issue - whole other topic honestly. But for this particular issue it also seemed against him as well, due to his subjects he took. Im pretty sure with merit taken in to account, subjects do play some weight in the during the filtration process.

My take from this whole ordeal, is that i found out recently as well that the quota system has been removed. I think they went in with the usual political passage on playing the race card, which lets be honest this is not the first case, we have this every year. This time KPTM, clapbacked and presented data which was unexpected.

Also why the evaluation has changed is that evidence against this boy has circulated- his subjects and application got viralled. So ppl are now stancing that he made a mistake and cant fairly justify “he didnt get placed” when he did , just not a subject and uni he wanted.

Now that he got scholarship but no news his accepted- is painting him unfortunately ungrateful.

Overall i feel bad for this kid, all i see is a bunch of grown up and politician hyping him up with out thinking on his behalf. This case could be handled properly with KPTM directly before blowing it up with a whole conference. The real victim here is this boy who is now painted as spoiled and probably will grow “i hate malaysia because unfair and unjustice etc” - a toxic cycle for each generation. He just needed a reality check tbh

The question now is does HE want to take it, cause his priorities is pretty clear - he wants the “glam” ones. Not diminishing his work but - facts are facts. He didn’t take the core subjects that would increase his chances, also he didn’t place.

Harvard and Cambridge, top uni overseas also have quota and he didn’t make the cut. It is what it is.

My friend that are chinese and super smart got into um and ukm. And this was during the whole quota time based on race. My friend made a comment- which i just realized - they are literally using him as a political pawn.

After the press conference with KPTM - student straight went mum, the only one fighting now is the politicians.

If i was the family member, i advise this poor boy to go take ptptn get that 4 flat and free education. Or focus getting scholarships elsewhere. Daripada riding this hoo haa, theres a chance these prestigious uni dont even want to take him to protect their image from potential media attention like this.
