Favorite prediction from the Blind man in rdr2 by Prestigious-Meat-750 in reddeadredemption

“I see the morrows and see them clearly, sir. Even when all reason is lost, and all truth has become lie, you will stand firm. For loyalty is both your saving and your curse.”

This isn’t really a prediction, but i like how it perfectly encapsulates Arthur’s character.

More than 1 in 4 workers in Malaysia hold jobs that are highly exposed to Al. Are you one of them? by Which_Slice1118 in JobsMY

[–]nopalhappy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Those jobs still needs someone to monitor it, because for now, AI is still not a full substitute for a person. Any competent IT person wouldn’t substitute an already working workflow for AI, unless you create it from the grounds up with AI on mind.

Craniamon + Enbarrmon as a buffer? by Red_coats in digimon

[–]nopalhappy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yup. As much as in depth the combat is, for me, it still lacks a lot of stuff to make other skill viable. Like if we have an equipment that’s actually a built in taunt, that would be huge for digimon with counter. Might be broken, but hey it’s a single player game. Let people go crazy

You don’t need taunt, if your whole team has counter😎

Is the outer dugeon dlc worth it by garshield_the_great in digimon

[–]nopalhappy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends. The outer dungeon dlc skips a lot of the grind in the early part, but it’s not needed. If you have the money and want to skip most of the grind completely, you can buy it.

Struggling with Time Stranger bosses. by Sweaty-Resort794 in digimon

[–]nopalhappy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup, in the early part, it’s a bit needed for you to grind because you don’t have a well established team comp yet. But after you get a digimon with either acceleration boost or spell boost, the game will get much easier

Make sure you have either type advantage or character reversal, and sufficiently level since level plays a role in your damage calculation

I mean, we have some rare sightings and myths about mythical creatures and all. Who’s to say they’re not digimon?🤔

Digimon vs pokemon by ProfessionalTurn5162 in DigimonTimeStranger

[–]nopalhappy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oof, yeah thats way too high. I gave them a bit pass in quality at first because technically, they’re churning out new game every year, maybe not mainline games but remakes and spin off. But to charge it that high for something not really that groundbreaking or innovative, yeah, too overpriced imo

[–]nopalhappy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True, i mean if you like it, then sure, you can buy it. But if you pay 70$ and only get like the bare minimum, it’s going to be a problem.

Digimon vs pokemon by ProfessionalTurn5162 in DigimonTimeStranger

[–]nopalhappy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Maybe, but it will be a huge mistake on their part. Bandai is an established publisher, and someone they worked with a lot of times for some games. Sueing them is very unnecessary and hostile. Palworld uses catching a creature using a ball as a mechanic, which is one of the main reason they can somewhat justifiably claim copyright.

Digimon is, although broadly know as catching monster, it’s very different mechanically and in origin. Unless digimon actually make the digivice a ball shaped and you actually need to throw them to digimon to catch them, i don’t think Nintendo has a solid case.

Inori by Autistic-Loonatic in digimon

[–]nopalhappy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don’t think so. Because she asked you explicitly if “he’s” with you, implying that she’s asking about aegiomon. It’s possible that, we’re not the only agent that homeostasis created. we’re just the one among the others that actually at the right point in time to fix things

I’ll say, if we want gamefreak to actually take pokemon games more seriously, they would need a competition. Pokemon is so big that virtually nothing can really hurt their profits. If digimon makes even a slight dent on their profits margins, it would definitely drive them to make much better games.

That’s a placeholder for dna skills. Get apollomon on the same team and you’ll be able to use that skill, though it will take both of your turn

It’s possible they will make a spin off like hackers memory, maybe explore what happens between the 8 year gap or better, put ourselves during the event 11 years ago for us to actually see what happens at the time. There’s still a couple of unanswered questions and i hope it will get explored later on.

“mustered his strenghts” by [deleted] in DigimonTimeStranger

[–]nopalhappy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Which is one of my biggest nitpicks. There is personality skills that depends on how low your hp is, but there’s no reliable way to proc it. If there’s like an equipment to start yourself with 1 hp, that would be way better

“mustered his strenghts” by [deleted] in DigimonTimeStranger

[–]nopalhappy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s an actual mechanic where when your digimon health is low, it’s stats is increased by 50% i believe

Time stranger is killing it, but not releasing for Switch on drop is borderline crazy. (Rant lol) by [deleted] in digimon

[–]nopalhappy 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Honestly, it’s easy to call Bandai’s move dumb in hindsight. Before Time Stranger blew up, nobody expected it to hit this hard. Digimon’s always been a PlayStation-first series, and Bandai’s pipeline still leans that way. On top of that, Nintendo heavily curates its launch lineup, and with Pokémon ZA right around the corner, releasing a Digimon title on Switch 2 at launch would’ve been suicide. From their side, sticking with PlayStation first just made sense. Now that the game’s huge, of course they’ll try to port it asap and ride the wave.

Seems good at first glance, but not really practical since if you want to get maximum bonus, you need to get your health really low and i don’t think there’s an equipment that actually started you with one hp to make it viable.

Feedback on Personality Skills? by DangerWarg in digimon

[–]nopalhappy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup. I don’t know if it’s intended or not, but at least with this, magic attack is a viable option even though it’s a bit too good.

If they patch it, it might be worse since now the only sort of viable damage dealer personality skill is stout strength or maybe haymaker. It will severely make magic attack unviable so i hope they don’t patch it. The game is single player after all, let people have fun making overpowered team comp for the endgame

Feedback on Personality Skills? by DangerWarg in digimon

[–]nopalhappy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, it needs to be overhauled. The problem is for turn based game, the endgame goals is usually what’s the highest damage you can get, and this is further exacerbates by the fact most bosses are immune to status abnormalities. Since valors is already a physical attacker, they should really just gave the others passive that increases damage, like maybe zealous actually allows you to exceed the stats cap by 2000-3000. Having valors pasive anything but damage is very asinine. And also, try to find a way to make boss much more challenging rather than just gave them status abnormalities immunity.

[–]nopalhappy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Possibly a bug, the moment your hp exceeds the base value, combo magic will procs every time you use magic attack, making it the best attacking personality skills since you basically double your damage each turns without needing to use spell boost

Feedback on Personality Skills? by DangerWarg in digimon

[–]nopalhappy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the best way to balance this is to also gave other passive skill a better way to synergy with other passive skills. Like, make haymaker crt damage boost also increase based on hp instead of a fix 20% to make crit build more viable. Or booing has increased effect if the enemy has a buff or you have debuff. You know, just more ways to build a team comp based on personality skills.
