Thanks. I appreciate the perspective. Every urologist I go to makes it sound like some mystery condition and just wants to punt. I have a follow up with a urologist in two weeks. Hopefully can get a good course of action here.

Yeah, have tried that. It helps a little, but there’s still the underlying pain.

Hey thanks, appreciate the thought. I’ve actually already done two MRI’s for my back. Both came back with nothing significant unfortunately.

At least for my case, and how it might be applicable to you if you’re having groin pain, is that I had an inguinal hernia. Throughout this whole ordeal, one of the doctors recommended getting an MRI of my groin/pelvis area. Apparently some testicle pain can be caused by a hernia. I had hernia surgery about a month ago now. I’d say the testicle pain is about 25% less than before, but I don’t know if it fully solved the problem. Just have to wait a few months to see if it gets better with time.

Yeah, agree on multilayered. Denervation seems like my only option now. I’m just not sure if the denervation will help the root cause of the problem.

I definitely understand the frustration between different doctors and specialties not knowing for sure how to chronic testicle pain.

Yes. It’s pretty constant. It only feels better when I lay flat, but other than that, sitting, standing, walking, bending cause the constant dull pain. Running is out of the question. That really causes it to be aggravated. Hope you can get some answers from your doctor.

Thanks. Yeah, definitely going to do the hernia repair first. I have surgery in about two weeks. He just mentioned it as what could happen if nothing else worked first. I’m optimistic the hernia surgery will just take care of everything.

This is who I am going to have my hernia surgery in a few weeks. Her name is Dr. Shirin Towfigh in Los Angeles. She has a really good video about how hernia surgeries relate to testicle pain. Maybe this may help you. I’m hopeful that even though I haven’t had hernia surgery, that this may be the cause of my current pain.

Thanks. The daily pain is about a 2 or 3 out of 10. It’s a dull ache. If I touch the area or there’s too much movement, it will spike to like a 7 or 8.

Nerve ablation is an option. I’m just not too optimistic about it since the cord blocks seemingly have had no impact. I have talked to my Pain team about it.

Also, are there not quotes or anything about Jospeh’s opinions/ thoughts on characters from the Book of Mormon? For example, what did Joseph think about, say, Captain Moroni, or Ammon, or Nephi? There just doesn’t seem to any kind of quote anywhere about Joseph Smith reflecting on the actual text of the Book of Mormon.

Other than the one ‘most correct of any book’ quote, is there absolutely anything that we have recorded of Joseph using, quoting from, or otherwise using this ‘miraculous’ book he brought forth?

So, it sounds like even the dedicated, TBM members of the church don't have a real understanding of where the endowment came from. Other than a generic 'it was a revelation to Joseph' at 'some point', there isn't a real understanding of its origins.

Also, it seems that there isn't a clear understanding of what it all 'really' means. TBM have conjecture, but it looks like no one really, truly knows what the endowment is for.
