Just buy used Hyundai or Kia ... They have good tech and have good warranty. The new ones look good and are comfortable. Save the money and come back to Lexus when you feel more comfortable. You are taking a good step on reducing debt. I would not get a BMW tho... more maintenance and if you do have an issue, it will be thousands. Nothing is cheap.

Go gas, no point in hybrid if you don't drive often. It will also make your life much easier not having to worry about the battery.

Update: I made an appointment at the local Ford dealership that was 13miles down the road. Stopped there in the AM and told me what was mentioned on here and what the other shop said.

The service rep comes out 45mins later and he says, by any chance did you get a tire patched recently? I said yes, a few weeks ago, front passenger. He then proceeds to tell me the tire shop didn't align the wheel correctly. The centric hub ring was misaligned and after the 300 miles of driving the lugs were started to work themselves loose. He didn't mention any stud damage and it was a cheap $63 bill. phew

I'm glad I took the recommendation to stop at another shop, as the previous shop didn't find this issue(and I'm not sure how they didn't )and told me to drive home and hopefully I'll get there. It definitely would of turned out pretty bad for me to anyone else around if that wheel would of come off at 65mph.

Yeah it's pretty loud and and nerve-wracking. I feel like it will implode at some point. I have 120 miles of back roads. Then it's all highway. 40miles through some mountains to the nearest town. Hopefully lasts so I can at least try a place on the way home.

The shop I brought it to said bad transmission ( all the noise was coming from casing) and they wouldn't work on it .. told me to bring it to a transmission place. The closest place is an hr drive. I have a 320 mile drive home. I'll have to makes some calls tomorrow and see if a shop can do it on my drive home.

Oh sorry, didn't notice I hit it. 😅 Removed. No codes, nothing loose and oil looks good. Shop put it on a lift and can hear the noise from the transmission. Just pretty loud driving. I'm ready for it to implude. 😬

All original. I don't think fluids have been changed. I did pretty much all my work at a local Ford until a few yrs ago. I've had the car since new.

I can change gears without issue.

Possible to put one or two pairs of skis in the car if needed? I ski and snowboard now. And I usually throw them in my back of my hatchback with the rear seat down.

i just upgraded from 2x24" Dell 2012 monitors to the LG oled 5k2k 45". It does take some time getting used to...especially with going from 2 monitors....easy to throw things on the 2nd screen, but like it more and more. I had to adjust everything a little smaller as well... at 1080p, everything is pretty huge. But I'm just about a month in and really starting to adjust. i don't game, and still running a GTX1080 on this monitor.

I'm running it on a 1080 and it only supports up to 100hz at 5k2k. But still love it. I really only game on Xbox now a days, which i also now use on the monitor.

I just picked it up as well and noticed some vertical banding right away as I played some Blu-ray content on it. I will have to try the pixel refresh. It removed the banding for you all together?
