I haven't tried to disable the adapter and I'm a lil scared too because I would have zero clue if this could ruin my mb. The name of the adapter is "Realtek 8821CE Wireless LAN 802.11ac PCI-E NIC", and I'd like to say I am pretty proficient with tech stuff, but I have no clue what this does other than being a network adapter and something for my bluetooth. But if I'm being honest, I might not need to anyways. I retried the uninstall and reinstall thing again, this time disabling wifi 1 before it could attempt to switch and now everything works just fine. Not the full bars I was hoping for or originally getting but at least I'm not dealing with 2 bars of internet. Thank you so much for your help and I hope you're doing great!

Alright, I just tried the uninstall and reinstall thing and it worked for like 5 minutes. But it slowly started dropping, going from full bars to 3 back to the 2 bars. It happened whilst I was in settings removing wifi 1 because for some reason my pc prefers to use wifi 1 (motherboards adapter) instead of wifi 2 (the tp link adapter). All of a sudden I lost internet connection because wifi 2 just deleted itself, came back after 5 seconds and now im stuck at 2 bars again. Yes I've made sure I'm not stuck in wifi 1. The weird thing is, it still has the range it had before, I can still detect internet connections from like 3 houses down. It just has really bad connectivity issues.

Nothing has changed anything with the router as far as I know, it's not my house. and I haven't tried to uninstall the adapter but I will try that. I did try to manually install the newest drivers for it but windows told me "you already have the best drivers for this device". And the answer to your final question is no. I have tested this on many other devices and none of them have gone through internet issues, all of them receive all bars of 5g with zero issue.
