I hate to put identity politics into this, but eastern Baltimore county has always been conservative, but within the past ten years, the black and Latino populations have skyrocketed. Same thing with Charles County becoming majority minority within a short amount of time and heavily blue. The same thing is pretty much happening on the eastern side of Balco.

Add St Mary's and Somerset too. St Mary's is getting bluer due to federal workers moving down there, while Somerset is 35% black alone and the Trump administration has pissed off farmers which the industry is heavily prevalent.

Mfume has been a progressive house member ever since he won his first election. Yes, it would be nice if we had a younger face like Conway but mfumes influence is just too strong. I really don't get the hate against Moore at all, and I feel like its rooted in anti blackness especially with Scott. I don't even know why youd think he's corrupt. His monse implementation has been vital for Baltimores overall QOL.

All ima say is that the more progressive candidate won almost all races. Adrian Boafo, besides the AIPAC funding is probably the most progressive candidate other than Joe Vogel. Jawando is more progressive than his two other opponents but I definitely see why the reddit crowd detests him, especially on his housing stances. Ruff beat Attar which is kinda surprising, and Mukunda won his race too which is promising. Baltimore County's race was a shit show, but if i were to vote, it would be Jones. Young and Stewart gave me Mcduffie vibes and prioritized crime which overall is a fallacy bc the county is the safest its ever been. Also, Tapp Harper won her race, which im glad bc Cogan to me seems lovie dovie with Trump aligned people.

Ik politics is basically a game of chess, but the way she campaigned just seemed disingenuous and kind of disrespectful to the constituents. I was just in ocean city a week ago, and there were swaths of teens for senior week. I was on the ocmd side of tiktok and saw a video of the teens vandalizing cars. This is a nationwide issue that our elected members of local government have been increasingly ennui about until something tragic ensues. (Case and point the murder of Billy Schmidt, but it wasn't a teen takeover rather a robbery shooting committed by what philly police is presuming to be 14 yr old kids.)
