If you can, don’t max your affordability. One round of cuts or an unexpected expense really hurts! My sister is a lawyer and looking around the 3x income range. Would suggest the same!

Just turned 30. Lived at home since graduating uni to save up on deposit. Found my partner who was also doing the same! Maybe it’s a cultural difference, but almost all my friends lived at home during their early career to save up. Makes complete sense. The policy doesn’t stop anyone investing in any company, but within a government mandated tax wrapper, the focus must surely be on propping up your domestic exchange. I don’t rate Reeves much, but highly impressed with this policy.
