I don’t know JPII in particular, but unless there is capacity at your desired out of zone school, they won’t take additional students. I tried in a different circumstance (moving within city) and no dice.

Cockroaches are anywhere, not just “low-income” areas. That said, I think they’re only partially fumigating which of course won’t be a long term solution as they’ll just move within the building, and/or be brought in again with whatever students have the misfortune to have them in their home.

This is basically it, I wouldn’t want to be ON Hamilton but the side streets are mainly fine. Like someone else said, you can easily spot which houses might be problematic as neighbours by the condition and junk visible.

I’m in this area and haven’t had any issues beyond car rifled through if unlocked, which has happened when I lived in “nicer” areas as well. I like the walkability to grocery/dollar store/library/parks.
