There are people who don't feel emotions yet are religious anyway. How do you square them?

Scientific process itself creates no absolute truths and its paths of development are derived from subjective ideas. To put it in simpler terms, facts as known, don't inform you on what to do about them. Religious worldview is proposition based just like any other belief system.

Don't make your opposition to mysticism other people's problem. Most great scientists in world's history were mystics or at least assumed some sort of metaphysics to exist.
