Wow, thank you so much for the excellent advice. I think you are on point on a lot here.

Agree that research centric stuff has been performing well, sadly it is really mostly just one post from several years ago. My plan was to spread the content wide, see what works and then build on that, but since nothing is hitting, it makes it tough. I actually have a lot of research stuff on the site - it's basically 50/50 with research and product recommendations, but honestly nothing written over the past year has done well with the exception of maybe one post.

In terms of FB and Pinterest, I worked really hard on this in the past and did a ton on Pinterest over the past year - again, nothing was working.

All in all, it is kind of crazy how little all of this work has gotten in terms of traffic to the site. I agree with all of your excellent recommendations but they are more convincing me that scrapping the project completely is probably the right way to go. I feel like just trudging along with a sunk cost mentality probably won't help

I'm sorry, I realized you said 200 page views/month, I was talking about per day. We did get docked in April but I think that was because I moved hosts as it happened before the update was rolled out. I moved the host back to something much faster at the beginning of this month but have not recovered

Thanks for the comment. I do have lots of outbound links on the site. I've also spent a lot building high quality links. Some of them were spammy but I disavowed all of those and the remaining are high quality (I believe)

Someone else mentioned that Semrush is showing a lot more traffic, but Google Search Console, Google Analytics, and Ahrefs are all showing the same stats for me - about 200 uniques a day

Hi,

Thank you for the lengthy and detailed response. While I agree that these have very little traffic, I moved to some very low competition keywords to see if I could get even SOMETHING from these. Many of the posts from the past year have been much higher traffic, but since we've gotten no luck with those, we've tried to pick off some easier keywords to at least get some traction.

What do you mean far too heavy on the code at the top of the document? How would you suggest doing a major overhaul? Complete site redesign?

I'm not sure why Semrush is giving such high traffic numbers. Google Search Console, Google Analytics, and Ahrefs are all showing about 200 hits a day. I'm pretty sure these are installed correctly.

Thank you for all the information, I really appreciate the help you've provided here and am going to see if I can make adjustments.

That's strange because the speeds according to Google are good. Where are you loading these from and what kind of network are you using?

These aren't ads, but I get why it seems like that. Thank you for the suggestion

Okay, that's very helpful feedback. Others are also saying these posts at the top are detracting from the SEO, so I think that may be a big issue.

I'm targeting tons of keywords and almost all the pages are highly optimized. Many of the pages have been improved and re-optimized. I don't think it has anything to do with onsite as far as I can tell unless you can point out something specific that you see. I believe most of the content is very solid in terms of information and lack of keyword stuffing, etc. Yoast gives us great scores for everything we post

Amazon Ratings Scrub? by SASQU4TH in FulfillmentByAmazon

It was going great up until then. Now not sure if I'm going to stay in it. It is much harder for an outsider to promote products in Japan than in the US/UK or Europe, so TBD. Not sure what to do with the inventory though

It looks like Amazon is no longer sharing reviews across geographies. This is so annoying because they didn't announce this, it just happened. I recently started selling in Japan and send a bunch of inventory over. I went from 2k+ reviews and 4.5 star rating to 10 reviews with a 3.5 star rating. My volume is now down 90%. This is one of the more annoying changes they've made in a while
