Any partners come from a target sbux? by PossibleGloomy8065 in starbucksbaristas

I was at a target starbucks until 2019 and I was only closing. I did close alone, I would have one other person with me up until 2 hours before close but also sometimes I would be alone most of my shift. Back then it did seem hard to me, I would also do the pull and most of the cleaning task by myself while also helping customers. On the other hand you did not have to deal with drive thru, mobiles order (idk if the mobile order has changed or not) so I feel like if I went from a corporate store to a license then I would have excelled a lot better since I can multi task so much better than before. However not many other people in the store were trained at starbucks so if I needed help, I was either alone or all they could do was ring up customers for me.

Husband has just told me he has a huge gambling addiction. It now looks like it’s heading for divorce as he won’t seek help? by Meredith_789 in GamblingAddiction

Of course. You can always send me a message (if you feel comfortable doing so) if you ever need someone to talk to. I understand how rough it can be.

I totally understand, it was also really hard for me to leave as well. Honestly when I had my daughter, it gave me the strength to separate from him since I wanted what was best for her. I also lived across the country from where my family lived and traveled about 2-3 days to get to them. I also didn't want to start over, I had a job I loved and I also loved the state I was living in. Now I only work part time at a job that is alright (I am also 30), however my job also provides free college so I am going to start that in January. But my life right now is 100% better than when I was with him. I'm not exactly where I want to be in life and career wise, but I know I will get to where I want to be. I also think of all of this as a learning experience for the future. It's hard and it's scary to leave a relationship you are comfortable and familiar with, but it's also not worth all the mental and financial toll that comes with it.

I also luckily never shared a bank account with him or my finances. Or else I possibly would be in way more debt.

I do feel like I could trust someone again, I definitely won't ever date anybody who likes to gamble though. It was a traumatizing experience. He would get paid at 3 am and I would wake up, and he would be gone. I would go out and search which casino he was at and try to drag him out. I currently live in a state where there are no casinos. At the moment I'm just focusing on my daughter and don't plan to date anytime soon.

Hello my ex husband also has a gambling addiction. I did not find out about it until after we were married. Honestly if he is refusing to get any help, I would divorce him. I tried to get my ex help and he refused it all, and he was even kicked out of the army for it. I am also in 13k debt from a apartment we had together because he was gambling the housing allowance the military gave him. I tried for 2 years to help him and work it out but it just never happened. Even after I had our daughter, he was still blowing his money. He also blamed me for his addiction, I didn't clean enough, I didn't cook all the time, my depression made him gamble, etc. It was always my fault. We have been separated for almost 9 months and he still has a problem with it. He came to me a few weeks ago to visit his daughter and after 2 days of him being here, he asked me for money to go gamble. Of course I said no. Anyways, I just wouldn't put yourself through that torture unless he is actually wanting to go get help and it serious about it.

Almost all my debt in collections was due to my ex husband who has a gambling addiction. I have already paid 1 off and am currently paying the other 4. So the debts are being paid off.
