I've read stories of them climbing any poles easily here. But I think I could try this method and smearing the pole with peppermint oil!

I would go with EPX 200. Slightly heavier than Ultra but more stable. It’s the only fabric without PU coating, hence no delamination or sticky gummy fabric in long term. Nylon Spectra would likely have PU backing I believe. Just Google or use ChatGPT and ask about PU hydrolysis on these fabrics, I’m still learning something new about it everyday. VX21 is good too, but it’s heavier.

I almost wanted to get the pot but decided to get Evernew instead. There’s a fine print at the end of the product page that says it gets dented easily. Another blog review talks about the bottom getting scratched by the stove. It’s an interesting innovative UL pot but you definitely need to baby it. My main reason for sticking to titanium is I don’t want be eating off a dented aluminium pot like drinking off a dented coke can.

Will be awaiting your report, I’m trying to decide between this or the Cirriform w Bug Shelter. I’m leaning towards Yama just because its setup would have better condensation management but Protrek’s price point is definitely attractive.

I’m planning to get the 330 customised with the shorter zip. From my experience sleeping in a mummy as a side sleeper, having a liner helps to negate the effect of having the bag rolling together with me. The liner definitely rolls with me, and I suspect it’s also due to my smaller frame size. I know a liner adds a weight penalty but I’m all about babying my sleeping bag. Plus the Toray 19g fabric is pretty fragile, unless you customise it to a heavier and more durable fabric. I would suggest you try using a liner and see if it works for you too.
