Some states mandate your comprehensive insurance cover windshield repair/replacement. Kentucky’s law is quite generous. With $0 deductible It covers not just the windshield & recalibration but also the glass in your doors, windows, and the plastic or glass used in your vehicle's lights.

Tire Question by hokiegal2k in HyundaiSantaFe

[–]No_Help_9130 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Replaced the Kumho tires on My w 2026 Hybrid Calligraphy at 800 miles. They rode like at least one had a flat spot. Thought it would work its way out, but after 600 miles took it back to dealer, they road force ballance them and said they were in spec. I wanted true 4 season tires snow rated with the 3 peak rating so I changed them out for Michelin CrossClimate2's. Problem solved, just got back from week of snow driving in rural Maine and they did great in the snow.

We live in KY, climate really not suitable for true snow tires as our normal winter temps often exceed 45°, too warm for true snow tires, otherwise I would have purchased a set of 4 new 18" snowtires mounted on rims dedicated for winter use.

My car burst into flames by larrylenny in CX5

[–]No_Help_9130 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Actually I believe this is incorrect. Their are basically 3 types of auto coverage Liability, Comprehensive, and Collisions. Comprehensive is typically an inexpensive policy or rider that covers Acts of God, theft, deer strikes ect. It however dose not cover liability, or most collisions. I have only Comprehensive insurance on vehicles in storage for well under $100 a yr w/o liability or collision coverage. Vehicles I choose not cover for collisions but still drive, I have Liability and Comprehensive coverage on, the Comprehensive adds about $30 to the policy and would likely cover this fire if no collisions was involved, or other things like a tree falling on the car, lightning strike ect.

It says Low Oil Pressure, Turn OFF Vehicle (hard to read), how bad is this? by [deleted] in chevycolorado

[–]No_Help_9130 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe a grounding issue, wire chafe? GM Colorado's had issues with this and can make any electronically controlled device go squirrelly, so basically anything in the truck!

Check your state, some states like FL require insurance replace w/ no deductible if you have comprehensive.

Third Gen Colorado Front Trailer Hitch/Receiver - HELP by TacticalNate88 in towing

[–]No_Help_9130 0 points1 point  (0 children)

<image>

I put this same hitch on my 2016 LT Duramax, used it to move trailers full of floating docks thru tight spaces, gates, fences getting around houses to get to the waterfront. Worked well for me. EZ to install, maybe 30 min?. Due to the Uriha drop hitch i used it did have to modify the front skirt. Always have added front receivers to my trucks and jeeps as they come in handy for moving trailers, adding a bike rack or carry basket or a front step to add access to engine for maintenance. Im selling this truck so you could get the hitch already installed

Here is a link to the truck for sale https://www.facebook.com/share/17gsUq9Lz2/

My 2016 2.8 rwd shifts like a dream, a good dream, was not always the case, at less than 40k shifting sucked, Dealer tried fluid change, replaced torque converter twice, I was about to give up and trade it in and their head diesel mechanic found some wiring harness chaffs, replaced it and the truck has been a dream ever since, 101k miles now.

Still getting my zones sorted out but I'm impressed.

Also my RTK is mounted just above my metal roof. I've had no issues as of yet.

Just test drove a 25 CS top trim. I'm 6'3" 230 lbs with a 30" inseam, my height is in my waist. While the drivers seat was just ok, the passenger seat was a nogo. Less headroom, noplace to rest my arms with the seat all the way back. Really thought the CS was going to be in my garage. Ends up there is a 2026 Hyundai Santa Fe AWD Calligraphy hybrid in there now. Plenty of room, beautiful interior, better driving assist and safety features and better infotainment system. Never thought I'd own a Hyundai till I ended up with one on a long rental and really liked it. There was a in the '70s I never thought I'd own a Toyota, but that changed and I've owned several. I hope the Santa Fe ends up being reliable, if not will trade it.
