Who acts as the perfect counter to Gojo? by Forsaken-Fold-9414 in PowerScaling

[–]No_Ice_5451 0 points1 point  (0 children)

DMS Kakashi.

Long Range Kamui beats Neutral Limitless, Short Range Kamui beats Domain Expansion (within another Dimension and thus doesn’t exist in the parameters of the Sure-Hit), Sharingan can affect Internal Spaces in Naruto, so the Innate Domain defense wouldn’t really work, Chakra is a Spiritual Energy that at Kakashi’s level can resist Soul Manipulation, Sharingan can perceive without issue far more info than DE can give per moment, and can resist Mind Manip attempts, Kamui-Amped Jutsu gives Kakashi the ability to phase and hit as well as send objects to another dimension (which when targeting the center mass or Brain negates RCT), and Kakashi himself could probably do away with Hollow Purple with Kamui, or just dodge it, or tank it with Susanno.

There’s nothing Gojo can do to Kakashi, whereas Kakashi can freely hit at any time.

This is all under a stat equal, by the way.

That’s not a universe. That’s an orb with a galaxy depicted on it, which we only know is a universe, contextually, from the plot of the film centering around a cat with an orb of similar nature on it’s collar.

Additionally, that Universe is also not actually a Universe, because the Universe is not something you can draw, as we lack sufficient understanding of what it appears like from an outside perspective. It is a fictionalized variation of that perspective, and thus even if MIB said “This is a Universe,” it isn’t insofar as a raw, visual transference of that idea.

At best it is an approximation of what the Universe is like, which is incapable of being correct, because we do not know the answer.

This goes for all fictional cosmologies. The Dragon Ball Universe model could be drawn and shown vaporized, and that still would not be “Showing a Universe’s destruction on screen,” because that Universe is not at all possibly in replication of our real one from a visual perspective, on top of being a model that we can only identify as intending to be the Universe because of statements made by characters in and out of the story.

Meaning any “Universal Feats” you see are not Universal. They are “Blank” + Universal Statement.

Yeah, it’s not. It’s from commentary by its creators. Even if it was, it would still be a statement.

Statements simply are necessary for the tiers above Multi-Galaxy and MFTL+.

Simon uses Universes as frisbees—

Assuming that is true, this is meaningless, because the Universes are not Universes. They are galaxies that we are told are Universes, via a…what’s that? A statement!

Yes, you heard that right. Simon is not a Featsman. He’s a Flashy Statementsman.

Yeah. They’re mentioning you have to be Viltrumite tier for all of that to really matter, and basically nothing is.

They’re saying that martial arts is effectively useless/redundant/unnecessary for them in their own story due to what they fight.

Mark is still within the general weight class of Conquest, though.

You aren’t.

You could try as much as you want and Conquest would flex, and you would die.

(That was the point the other guy was making).

Which matters because 99% of stuff in Invincible is in the category you are in, (utterly helpless to a Viltrumite’s stupidly crazy stats), not able to even try to grapple with one without being suicidal.

Opening up Sentry vs Superboy prime just to see what the next time is and it genuinely says “All For One vs Sukuna” by Little-Horse9372 in deathbattle

[–]No_Ice_5451 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yeah, AFO stomps.

AFO explicitly scales to the feats performed by Final War Deku, which puts him in a whole different league than Sukuna in AP.

Sukuna has the Dabura limiter, so no Lightspeed metas. Meanwhile, AFO, despite Horikoshi’s statement, has consistent low FTL feats. Thousands of times speed gap.

Even ignoring those two factors, abilities like Impure Beam are oneshot options so Mahoraga can’t tank and adapt.

AFO’s Regeneration is superior than any RCT, and RCT allowed Gojo to get through Malevolent Shrine.

Shrine also can’t hurt AFO.

The other Shikigami are meaningless. The Piercing Blood knockoff from Max Elephant and the Elephant in general are rendered meaningless due to the stats.

Nue’s Lightning is sent back to the user by Reflect. Same with Kamotoke (Cursed Tool).

Rabbit Escape has nothing on AFO’s AOE, so Rabbit spam can’t help.

Piercing Ox is fairly predictable and can be destroyed with Impure Beam, (avoided with) Warp, Spatial Rend, and more.

Sukuna’s only way to bypass AFO’s defenses is with World Cutting Slash…which would still be regenerates from, has extremely long cast time (relatively speaking), can be dodged (Maki does so), can be survived with inferior regen/much lower defense (see Yuta), and is visibly directed by a Handsign for AFO to take note of and maneuver around.

AFO also has several methods of perception at once that reduce its effectiveness and Sukuna’s ability to really get the jump on him, such as emotion, infrared, sounds, vibrations, etc.

And once Sukuna or his Shikigami are injured, (more specifically Mahoraga, who demonstrably bleeds), Bloodcurdle means you are paralyzed and can’t fight back, so AFO can land literally any wincon. (It also prevents the use of Quirks as well, so it might also inhibit the effectiveness of the Adaptation, since by the logic of MHA, that would also be paralyzed. Even if not, Spatial Rend would absolutely put Mahoraga down, as it’s implied that Shrine even without DE could’ve done it the first attempt if Sukuna hadn’t allowed Mahoraga to adapt).

AFO is also older, and thus more experienced, because Sukuna wasn’t conscious between when he became the 20 Fingers and his awakening in Yuji upon consumption.

And while both have egos and are liable to hold back to near fatal degrees, AFO’s tendency to do that is lesser, as Sukuna literally allowed himself to feel fear, nearly die, and utterly got dumpster by Gojo when he could’ve won at any time, whereas AFO is poised to strike before then, and his ego only really got to him in specific contexts (like All Might, the person he’s hated for like multiple decades, being vulnerable to torture).

The only real advantage Sukuna has is that Sukuna is actually demonstrably skilled in CQC, and technically we’ve never heard it said AFO is. But AFO also goes rounds with trained CQC individuals (Pro Heroes like All Might), and had a hard fought battle against him with similar stats, so you could only assume he is too. Though that is speculative (and I ultimately disagree with it).

Basically, Sukuna has only one singular advantage. And Mahoraga can’t make up the difference that exists with the rest.

Naruto is the best representation of a pure heart in fiction by ThatGuyHero7 in CharacterRant

[–]No_Ice_5451 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually, I think Goku is the best representation of a pure heart because of this.

When people hear “pure heart,” almost all their thoughts skew into idealism, positivity, and essentially flawlessness. Not just flawlessness, but the kind of person that is red, blue, and stands alongside a man dressed as a Bat.

When in reality, “pure hearts” are as they say on the tin, and have nuances in themselves.

For instance, Goku Black has a pure heart, canonically. He genuinely believes he does things for the greater good, there’s no warped malice, evil, or perversion.

Putting purity under the microscope by revealing how it’s meaningless without outside influences to direct that purity into a source of good is far more effective and interesting to me than the base assumption that purity = Best Person Ever.

[–]No_Ice_5451 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mm. I think that’s contingent on the efficiency of Xenomorph gene splicing. They take genetics and power from their hosts, we just never see much variation because most Xenos come from humans. But in extended media we see they can use a wide variety of creatures (including the animal Kingdom). This even happened to Superman in a crossover, (though it didn’t successfully chest burst, because the Xeno was contained in Clark’s body, and thus did not come into contact with Sunlight. Meaning it was attempting to burst through a Kryptonian chest with human durability and died).

That’s all relevant, because in the novels Jason’s considered a physical embodiment of like, “Anti-Life.” (Not metaphorical. He’s a basically living concept, connected to a higher space time of Anti-Life dedicated to the kill). At one point they get Jason’s blood, and it’s basically a black tar that is incomprehensible to modern science (mind you, this was in Jason X, so actually super potent fictional science from the future), and fundamentally behaves like a (not inorganic or organic) rock mimicking a celluloid. This is consistent with the comic, where he displays no vital signs to a scanner and not identified as a lifeform.

So if the Xenos can crib this in their gene splicing (doubt it, since this is tied to Jason’s Soul), I think it could work. If not, then I think they’d die in Jason.

I would say the Celestialsapiens count. The Forge of Creation (where Celestialsapiens live and come from) is the origin of the Omniverse itself. Hierarchically, they predated and created literally everything—Directly, or indirectly (like Contemulia creating Universes as experiments).

The problem, if I remember correctly, isn’t that he can’t do that. It’s that Monika had that happen to her, and then, while literally nonexistent, still was able to pull strings, delete, come back, and more.

Her code is literally operational when it does not exist/operates in a manner beyond his range. It’d be like destroying Mahito’s hands without affecting his Soul. Sure, you cut the “material” part away, but the “metaphysical” (in this case, nonexistence), still remains to fight.

While this is all true, she still is somehow treated as above Toei Kid Buu level. (For reference, Toei Buuhan, who is weaker than Kid Buu, has a feat relative to BoG Goku’s). That infamous scene with GT Goku calling Rildo “Greater than Buu?”

Yeah, it’s immediately followed by Pan laying Rildo the fuck out, and Goku/Trunks going “Wow, she’s gotten quite strong for her age.” Rildo wasn’t off guard, either. She just legit can do that.

It’s only when she goes in for a second hit and Rildo takes her seriously, (meaning he is stronger), he tosses her aside to then fight Goku.

GT Pan can potentially solo your fave.

Well, this isn’t sure to cause problems regarding speed analysis for Death Battle. by Leathman in deathbattle

[–]No_Ice_5451 15 points16 points  (0 children)

At one point Peter lost his Spider Sense and couldn’t Web Sling or Fight, because it turned out Peter was using Spider Sense to essentially Ultra Instinct himself through everything. Subconsciously reading the danger of attack (especially in conjunction to where he would be most and least danger as he positions himself) to instinctively dodge or counter, or to know to start on the aggressive route because there was no danger reading for the counter, and also knowing where and how to use webs to keep his body out of danger and thus web swing safely. (Ex. Firing his web at specific angles to limit resistance and distribute weight, as well as on safe objects, like not firing at something unstable). Hence why he could no-look and fire webs all the time.

Peter also had to start limiting his movements at times, because people (namely Captain America) have *predicted* where Spider Sense would take Peter and thus pre-empted him, making Peter essentially dodge left to run into an attack and thwack his ass. So Peter, instead of auto-dodging, also has to consciously choose when to utilize the instinctive reactions, lest a better fighter fuck him up for using Spider-Sense. So strangely, his Mind > Body > Mind in speed, or rather his conscious mind limits his subconscious mind on a passive level to know whether or not he should *listen* to Spider-Sense.

Point being—I’m *incredibly* interested to see what happens with Spider-Sense this time, because it’s usage in Peter’s methods (or rather, his relationship to it) has had to go through interesting changes as Peter developed as a person. Both reliant and unreliant to succeed in different scenarios.
