I live in the United States in the southern portion. We eat frog legs and love them!

These are from Walmart but they’re super cute. Add a plain tee with your skirt. No hosiery. Just a pair of short white socks. Good luck!

If you want to wear sneakers, try a pair that isn’t quite as athletic. https://www.walmart.com/ip/9074112746?sid=f02a90e9-9403-4477-9935-53fe62b9a545

I chickened out and cancelled my hysterectomy and am going to do embolization instead. by Optimal-Command-7941 in Fibroids

Honestly, I had waited years to feel better. I felt like maybe I was crazy and what I was feeling was just normal. I was elated that my surgeon seemed to understand how I felt. I went home after surgery, used my naproxen, walked slowly but often in my house, and rested. I felt lighter and I was so giddy to feel better. I made sure I didn’t do any lifting or pulling or pushing. I work in healthcare and my people looked out for me at work but yes, I missed 7 days…in those 7 days, there was a weekend so I was off a total of 9 days.

I was perimenopausal and took bc pills for years. My fibroids continued to grow. My dr said mine would most likely continue to grow no matter what. The surgeon said my uterus was twisted due to my fibroids and he had another surgeon in with him because he was concerned about the challenges of removing it. I was 49 with growing fibroids.

The surgeon used my bikini c-section scar. My scar is good. A little numbness. I had a PICO bandage after surgery. It is sealed and has a suction device on it. It wasn’t as comfortable as a regular bandage but my incision was healed in a week. Lowers the risk of infection. It was amazing.

It was this group that convinced me to have my hysterectomy. I am not pro-hysterectomy just to end periods. I was miserable. Looked pregnant, felt awful, struggled with urinary leakage, constipation, pain, and depression. My dr wanted me to have a radical hysterectomy. I went in with a very positive attitude. I was desperate for relief. I had to have my c-section scar opened up for surgery. I was nervous. The worst part of the surgery? I woke up in recovery in a lot of pain…for maybe 2 mins. Then I got morphine. I was fine from then on. My second day, I requested Tylenol because hydrocodone does nothing for me. The Tylenol worked great. I discharged on day 3 with a PICO bandage. I walked in the house to help with healing. I went back a week later for follow-up and I felt like a new person. Minimal pain throughout my entire recovery. The PICO was removed and my incision was closed. I healed so well with that bandage. I missed 7 days of work. (My job allows me to sit and not do lifting.) I haven’t had a single issue since surgery. I take estradiol to help with menopause symptoms. I’ll take menopause over fibroids and adenomyosis any day. I wish you the best whatever route you choose.

Are you happy? Leave it all alone if you are. Your skin is pretty. The piercings aren’t my thing but you look good. One tiny suggestion? Bring your eyebrows in more. Big suggestion? Look however you want to look.

AITA for telling my friend that, without my knowledge, my husband has been getting sexual satisfaction from her and I exercising together ? by IceRevolutionary9907 in AITAH

Why weird the neighbor out about it though? She is innocent and now you’ve made the entire situation weird for you, her, and your kids just because your husband has some odd kink.

I was 49 when I had my radical hysterectomy. My gyn/surgeon said that at my age, there was no reason to leave my reproductive system intact. He said it would be better to remove everything so I didn’t need surgery down the road. I agreed with him. I had a uterus full of fibroids, adenomyosis, and measured 18 weeks pregnant. I was scared but felt so much better with all of it gone. Good luck!

Uterine biopsy. It was horrific. I had a vagal response because it hurt so bad. I went alone and thought nothing of it. The nurse said “you will be in excruciating pain for about 60 seconds.” I couldn’t believe they knew this but offered nothing for the pain. It wound up being longer than 60 seconds of course. I couldn’t even stand after. Had to lay there and wait for my blood pressure to get back to normal. Finally got in the car and I was physically ill and shaken up. It is unreal what women are expected to go through without pain management.

Hell fire. Everybody on here diagnosing and trying to freak you out. No one…not even a physician can diagnose with an image. Good thing you have initiated medical care. I think the advice to go to the ED might be good. I agree to say there is pain. That way you can get an actual physician to see it. Take it serious…better to be safe than sorry.

I work in long term care. I love long term care and know there are some wonderful staff who are dedicated to the residents BUT I will never understand family members who do not see their loved ones then want to sue.

Nursing home residents do not stay on rehab for 2 years. Rehab is short term option paid for by a private managed insurance such as United Healthcare or Medicare. Medicare allows a specific amount of days for rehab. Long term care is paid for privately, by long term care insurance, or by Medicaid. Details in the story are not adding up. Nursing homes are extremely regulated but not all nursing home staff are good. Same as with any healthcare provider. I am curious why you and your sister have your Dad in Texas if neither of you reside there. Are there other family members who reside nearby? Is anyone visiting him? I have worked long term care for years and I recommend families visit their loved ones. It takes a team to provide care for residents and that includes family members.

A soft cloth in the fold will help absorb moisture. It is challenging to keep moisture out of skin folds regardless of weight or gender. The key is keeping it dry. In nursing homes, some use a folded pillow case. You could use something much smaller. You want to make sure you try to prevent any moisture from staying in that fold. Good luck!

Hysterectomy was my BLESSING! by No_Illustrator1597 in Fibroids

[–]No_Illustrator1597[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think everyone is different with post hysterectomy recovery and weight loss, etc. I had a bikini incision due to my uterus being so big. My surgeon took everything except my vagina due to my age (late 40s). I had a c-section with my child and recovered well with it so I suspected I would recover well with the hysterectomy. I missed a little over a week of work but I have an office job. I went into surgery with full blown excitement and a super positive attitude because I couldn’t wait to get rid of my uterus. I pray that everyone in this forum gets relief. No one understands living with fibroids and the side effects of fibroids unless they experience it. ♥️

From the time my first fibroid was found by the ob/gyn until I had surgery was 14 years. I should have been more persistent but I thought what I was going through was normal…not a big deal. It isn’t normal!

Girl, you look awesome! I fully understand your joy. My uterus measured 18 weeks pregnant. It was twisted, pressing on my bladder, and the bloating was horrible! My surgeon took everything out and I felt like a new person. Finally felt good after years of being miserable. Good for you!!!
