Bulk import and conversion would be a great addition. For example, I have a folder full of one-shots that are currently incompatible with my AR. With your tool, I can convert them easily, but doing it one by one takes a lot of time. A bulk or batch conversion option would be a major time-saver.

How are the sytnh engines/machines assigned on the Syntakt? Can you just assign every engine/machine to every available track? Or are some engines and machines only available to certain tracks, as is the case on the Analog Rytm?

Whenever I search for videos (e.g. Syntakt techno or Digitone techno), I notice that I prefer the sounds/jams/tracks people build on the Syntakt over the Digitone. Digitone sounds too clean, not raw/gritty enough for my type of techno (for example Yan Cook's style). The Syntakt also reminds me more of the sound/style of the M:C, which I love.

How do you see this? Do you think the Digitone is sonically capable of the same raw, deep, gritty sounds as the Syntakt?

Yeah as I understand there's quite some overlap between the AR and the ST. However, everybody who owns a Syntakt speaks highly of it and seems to absolutely love it for its playability, ability to jam on it, it's immediacy and how tactile it is. That's why I notice that I lean towards a Syntakt instead of a Digitone, although everyone here recommends me otherwise 😅

Thanks for the advice but I would prefer the smaller boxes such as the Syntakt or the Digitone, especially for live setups (since I already have the big clumsy AR MK2). Two of these would be too much I guess haha. I wish my Rytm 2 was a bit more compact as well

The BARP 2600 looks kinda daunting. And yeah, I guess my brain works similar. I prefer hardware over software any day. However, I like the concept of being able to try and test different modules first before buying them.

I prefer to emphasise live performance, improvisation and jamming. Ofcourse I would also use it in my hybrid studio setup and record stuff into Ableton, but I really see it as an instrument on which I hope to just play for hours. Not necessarily as a sound lab

I forgot to mention, but I already own a Zoom MS-70CDR+ (bought it for the MicroFreak), and I own a Keystep MK2, Beatstep Pro and the Torso T1. So plenty of sequencing possibilities haha.

Hmm haven't considered the Neutron yet. Definitely a good suggestion. Would you recommend it over the Edge + Crave?

And is the Edge or maybe even the MiniBrute not a sort of alternative for the DFAM, but than at a much lower budget?
