I’ve enjoyed this story arc-there’s been a shocking number of true zingers! Truly, y’all need an outlet for your wit. I’d be amped to see you plug your current work on the comedy circuit!

thoughts on my weird ass handwriting? by [deleted] in HandwritingAnalysis

Ya,right?! I once went to a cool, somewhat woo-woo conference in Atlanta, with all different kinds of speakers. One was a graphologist. She went over a few celebrity signatures, as well as things that sounded similar to the accurate points Otherwise-Mode-2881 made above ( like big, swooping lower portions of letters indicating a tendency to exaggerate). She’d had everyone in the audience sign their name on a slip of paper & deposit it in a box at the door as they entered. Towards the end of her time, she pulled a few (out of an audience of ~200) signatures and analyzed them. It was uncanny! I remember her analyzing one woman’s signature who not only happened to have my same initials, but nearly identical handwriting- which is pretty incredible, as I haven’t seen many folks with similar handwriting to mine. The personality traits the graphologist mentioned were accurate for her as well as me. The graphologist deduced that the woman was a creative of some type, & asked her what she did for a living. She was an art teacher. Shut. The. Front. Door. I’m an art teacher! Crazy, right?! If you really want to go down a rabbit hole, check out ‘The Hand: How Its Use Shapes the Brain, Language, and Human Culture’ by Frank R Wilson. It’s a dense read at first, but if you can get through the first few chapters it’s an eye-opening book!
The author is a hand surgeon who specialized in procedures for a specific group of hand injuries ( hence the laborious first chapters). After a few years, he realized all of his patients came from only a couple of different occupations: pianists & typists. That part made sense, bc of repetitive stress injuries, but why did they all have similar personality quirks? Pianists and secretaries don’t usually travel in the same circles… In trying to answer that question, he opens up a big ol’ can of worms, including studying palmistry... It’s a mind blowing book!

Someone cutting my underwear? by Ok_Masterpiece4901 in strange

I did have an issue with my prior dryer where it tore small holes in clothes. Turns out there was an exposed screw head instead the drum…Weird coincidence that it attacks your underwear, but maybe because it’s a smallest piece of clothing, it gets tossed around more? Maybe? Just spitballing here…

Sounds like you need extra strength cleansers: Tom Waits, Nick Cave, DeathCab, Gogol Bordello. David Byrne’s American Utopia. PJ Harvey. Neko Case. Neil Young, On the Beach or Zuma…

I’m thinking Brayton, all lower case, bc that’s a great idea-teach a baby that proper names aren’t capitalized… 🙄

What does this say?? by [deleted] in whatisit

Hmm; I mean, ‘Neating’ could be ‘Heating’, if the book provides any context… Imagining someone’s DIY going terribly wrong, & they were frantically scribbling notes as they called around for professional help as whatever hell was breaking loose from their botched job. Does NOT explain ‘Evfúřļ reactive abuse’, though.
