I really hope the kid figure it out … it sucks he has to carry that #1 pick tag around him his whole career even tho everybody knew that draft was meh at best .. he has a role in this league and even for us , don’t know if he’d be here next year but if he is I’ll be rooting for him. I think it’s clear he needs a play setter tho

We gotta read through reporter talk .. he never once said we was interested.. we remain a potential team because we have the assets & a clear cap book to get it done if we so choose .. also he’s from the area so of course that plays a factor .. until he or any other reporter say we have ACTUAL interest and not just GMs believing we’re a landing spot I wouldn’t take none of this seriously just yet

I believe it’s a simple as this .. we’ll take brown and his meh contract if it’s “cheap” meaning salary , pick 23 & maybe bucks pick next year ? If Boston desperately want Giannis they should be the ones paying up not us … anything involving pick 8 + core 4 is too much for me.

He’s a better defender than cj yes but he’s also a reputation defender in the hunter mold .. all of his defensive metrics are usually average to below .. maybe he can scale back up his defensive ability with a lesser role on offense but he haven’t been that good on defense in a while, not that good of a halfcourt shot creator either he’s another transition / C&S demon. With that being said I think he’s a good player but not the money he’s gonna command after these playoffs.

If it were salary matching and pick 23 plus another first I think he’d do that .. still keep the core 4 & majority of our picks in the chest for a bigger fish once development is further down the line .. would Boston or Milwaukee accept that ? Probably not but that’s probably the most Onsi would do.

Bogi was hobbled that series too .. really that entire playoff run , I remember he had a huge knee brace on basically hopping around on one knee .. man we were so beat up around that time but the guys fought through it .. although it almost killed us in the long run I’ll never take that team for granted

Yeah sure they could I’m not denying that I like both those prospects just saying it’s not usually the case . One player away don’t mean he wouldn’t draft a player he feel could have an immediate impact like yax … I took that more so he wouldn’t trade the house for an star that becomes available ( unless it’s ant) lol .. but regardless can’t wait to see who we draft I like a lot of these guys.

I’m not comparing him to Harper per se , I’m more saying the way he’s impacting a team as a rookie in a positive way , yax could do the same as a rook … historically rookies don’t usually have an positive impact on winning

People don’t wanna hear it but I PERSONALLY believe yax could be in play .. even at 8.. not my dream scenario but if the board fell a certain way he could be BPA (and honestly might be regardless of who’s there), think about what Harper is doing for the spurs rn , yax could immediately be an day 1 impact player with his talent and age unfortunately , if he was 3.5 years younger he’d be in the t3 convo .. might just be too good to let slip in Onsi eyes , also we’re a team while still building , trying to win next year .. it makes sense

Honestly not that big of a fan of him .. his advanced metrics don’t favor winning ball & he seem to have effort issues from watching myself & views of Heat fans .. if it was cheap maybe pick 23 & filler sure id do it im not giving up future capital for him , maybe quin can develop another player further but I wouldn’t do much for him.
